Suggestions for Pro Football 2020

This game has a lot of great features that you don't see in other games in this genre. The problem for me is that many of the features that make this game interesting are not available in the multiplayer version.

Also, a better guide for the game might really help players looking at the game to actually continue to play the game. The PDF that comes with the game gives you very basic stuff, and just advises players to come to these forums. One example might be to have a tutorial, or even a 10 minute video on YouTube or something, showing how to do some things and how they affect the game. I'd also LOVE to see a tutorial on creating plays and importing them into the game. Every time I try it, nothing happens although it says it worked. I go to playbook and create a new playbook, but don't find the play. I literally have to add plays to the plays file (which of course can't be used in multiplayer leagues). This, of course, is one of the more interesting and strategy related parts of the game.

Mods and other things should be all in one forum. I was looking for how to import a schedule, and I found it.. in the mods forum for DDS:PF2016 forum. I mean, why is this not carried over from there to 2019? And the same for many other things, like creating plays... that's in the 2018 forum (again, not carried over). So a new player has to really do more searching than they should to find things... I'm sure this hurts you when considering why people get the demo but don't buy...

Finally, finishing touches are very important, in my opinion. This game has been out for years. This version is now on 3.0.7 (7 versions), and still there are many little things that aren't right. For example, a few seasons in, go to a defensive backs player card and look at his stats. You'll see columns for sacks, interceptions, passes defended, targets, catches allowed, etc. However, the PD column in the yearly stats is really targets, the targets column is really catches allowed, and the catches allowed column is really passes defended. But the career totals are in the correct column (although the targets and catches allowed are not totalled). Another thing is contracts screen. While the individual numbers are correct, the yearly totals are incorrect. Below is an example. ALL my players are under contract for 2020. None are being paid less in 2020 than in 2019. Every one is paid the same, or MORE, in 2020. However, 2020 says the total is $71.7 million and the 2019 total is $80.4 million. Clearly incorrect, and if I'm basing my calculations on these numbers for picking up a free agent or future extensions, I'm going to be in a world of trouble.

Overall this game has so much potential. It's got features no other game has. It has so many possibilities for strategy that I am SUPER EXCITED to start playing the game. However, it seems that the developers were very lackadaisical when actually making sure it was a nicely finished product... in the guide, in the way you track mods, in the ability to play the same game in multiplayer, and in basic checking and beta testing to insure everything is crisp and clean. Whoever came up with the ideas that make this game special is a **** genius. Now you just need to follow through with the same dedication and excitement about the game and it'll be phenomenal.

Finally, I am HAPPY to be a beta tester and give my two cents on the game and find all those little things that are going to be missed (let's face it, nobody is perfect and things are going to be missed, it's just the way things are). I won't ask for the game for free, or anything else... I will do it because I like the features in the game and I want it to be great so that there are dozens of online leagues to play in and hundreds of players to play against. That's where I personally get my joy in football simulation games: playing against others and creating leagues and communities.

Sorry for some of the rambling... I am passionate about this game.

Hi

Sorry. I am getting old. Please, please, please make the font sizes larger for all of your games. I like both basketball and football, but I cannot play them anymore because the fonts are just too small. I have a large monitor, but the interface only takes up about 2/3 of it and the fonts are just too small for me to read.

Thanks for your consideration.

Thanks zoot... found and fixed for the upcoming version. And for beta testing we normally open up a pre-sale open beta where people are more than welcome to post feedback. The slack channel will get pretty lively at that point. We tend to focus on breaking issues, but we do try and reserve time to fix/add features that get requested.

I would REALLY love to see WR Targets added to the stats. We now have targets for Defensive players, but to get it for receiving options would be a great way to better evaluate talent at the position and see who is making the most of their opportunities.

PLEASE invest what would undoubtedly be ultimately worthwhile time by any metric into construction of a thoroughly detailed and, at least an attempt, at comprehensiveness in a manual for this game??!!

- Accurate drafts
- customizable rule sets (field size, yards to first, downs, score values)
- Closer to accurate historical stat outcomes that change while you sim into new eras.
- coach philosophies that affect game play.
