There are two selection boxes at the top of the recruiting screen where you can select from 1 to 5 star recruits to display. I have never seen any recruit lower than 3.

Has anyone come across a two-star or one-star recruit?

I pay exactly zero attention to the stars, so no.

Like Wayne, I've never paid attention to star ratings.

But it's been forever since I've coached at a college with a big enough budget to buy a GOLD report...so the star rating is therefore immaterial to me.

I pay no attention, either. However my point is that there was a selection box designed for a five star system and that appears to be missing from the game.

the Star system may be conveying information. I think players with higher stars have higher CURRENT rating levels than players with lower stars. So at a lower prestige school, a higher rated player in STARS with C potentials could be a better fit than a lower rated player with B potentials because you won't be able to develop the B potential to surpass the C guy.
