Interest Levels on recruiting screen

So I sort the recruits by INTEREST and see lots of +++'s. I check and see the guys at the top of the list are good and decide I like them. Then I check there Top Ten screen and I'm not on it. Lower down I see lesser recruits with me in the top three positions. So how is a guy without me even on his list a +++ let alone on the top of the +++'s?

What I want is a sorting system that puts players who actually like me on top without having to scroll through three dozen names, names I'll lose track of when the next week's screen comes up with them again buried down the list behind the kids who don't really like me.

How do others handle this?

Some guys are highly interested in a lot of teams including yours so show +++ but you're not in their top 10. Others' interest level in programs are low (+) but you're program is one they like more than most others.

Suggest you use the NOTEPAD within DDSCB (click on the little notepad icon to the left of your coach's name at the top of the DDSCB screen) to keep track of those you want to focus on. Then you can quickly check your notes when going to the recruiting screen.

(By the way, just because a recruit doesn't list you in his top 10 doesn't mean you don't have a shot at him...or that he doesn't really like you or your program. In fact, having a +++ interest level shows he DOES like you...but likes others as well. But he may not be a good fit for them or they may have others who are highly interested who they want more or he may have unrealistic expectations. A lot of the schools that ARE in his top 10 either will never make an offer to him or will fall out of his top 10 at some point for one reason or another.)

Yes, I get all that. However there are times when I want to know who has me at the top because those guys nearly always commit if I give them a scholly. And that is valuable when the money runs low and I need a quick decision.

I'll try the note pad again. In earlier versions of this and Pro Ball, I could not get the game to save my notes. It seems that is working now.

Yes it works...it's worked in earlier versions of DDSCB as well. That should help you prioritize who you are focusing upon...and can keep any other tidbits of info you want as well.

From my experience I see the same thing, players with 3 star interest but I'm not in the top 10 list. I think the player just has a large list of schools he would consider going to (maybe he has 20 on his list). I have gone after those players but it takes time and you will gradually see them put you in the lower part of the list and if you continue going after them or another school they had higher uses their scholarships or stops interest you continue to move up. I've actually gotten a few this way and lost more because a higher listed school took him. But it definitely means you have a shot of getting him, but schools higher on the list need to stop perusing him before you get in the top 2 or 3.
Think of this way if you were a good not great player of course your gonna have Duke, Kentucky, North Carolina and Kansas on your list as well as some local good schools. If I'm in state and has me listed as 3 stars I'm maybe #15 on the list. But realistically he's not good enough for the top schools and they show no interest, then schools lower on his list will begin to rise, but it takes time.
