Overall I ALWAYS get a drop in Player OVR ratings going from 6/22 to 6/25. Can;t think of a time when it hasn't happened. Example (Includes walk ons):

6/22: 5 guys rated 3.0, 2 rated 2.5, 2 rated 2.0, 1 rated 1.5, 3 rated 1.0, 2 rated 0.5

6/25: 1 guy rated 3.5, 3 rated 3.0, 2 rated 2.5, 1 rated 2.0, 0 rated 1.5, 6 rated 1.0, 2 rated 0.5.

It may be a small change it may be a significant change but it ALWAYS gets worse.

Just did 88 do overs. Every single one- without exception, resulted in a net loss going from 6/22-6/25. Is this something Gary planned to be this way? If so, why? If not, he needs to know. BUT, I'm interested to see if it's just me. I've noticed it in all of my 2019 Associations but didn't give it real thought until today. No idea if it was true before 2019.

Did a test for one association and yes, there is an adjustment of both current and potential OVR made between 6/22 and 6/25.

In mine:

Current Ratings:

2 players decreased by 0.5
2 players increased by 0.5
All the rest remained the same

Potential Ratings:

2 players decreased by 0.5
2 players increased by 0.5
2 players increased by 1.0

There also were increases and decreases in a few of the individual skill ratings...some went up, others went down

So I guess maybe it just reflects a refinement made in the coaches' evaluations.

Is 6/25 the first time new recruits show up? Because if that's so I've noticed this constantly--that is both up and down. I've also constantly experienced reversals of these movements by the time recruiting for the new season commences. Many times a recruit shows up as very good or disappointingly bad, and then shifts back to what I expected by the beginning or recruiting.

At least I think those are the dates this happens. All I know is I now expect this and thus find using the overall ratings even less useful.

6/26 is when new recruits show up but yes. You're right about the rest. 6/25 is really the last time ratings for roster players change. 11/6 is the last time ratings change for recruits who have committed. Uncommitted recruits keep changing until at least January 1, maybe longer.
