yes, the different editions of the game exist independently, and you can still play them. I still have all versions going back to CB3 on this machine. The first two were on a different computer.

Sorry I'm late to the party, but if it were me I'd go with the guy with the much higher Player Development.

An average reputation for all coaches, including head coaches would be right around 50, as you might guess. You won't find many assistant coaches with reputations higher than 38 or 39 though because once they get close to 40 they start looking for head coaching positions. So for assistant coaches alone, an average reputation is probably somewhere between 15 and 20.
