Injuries: C Jeremy Young of Georgia State has a strained hamstring that will hamper him for about a week; SF Leroy Phillips of SE Louisiana strained his calf which is likely to take a week-and-a-half to mend.

Comments: The loss of SF Anthony Wilks and his 14.3 ppg due to a broken elbow a week ago seems to have impacted MD-Eastern Shore a great deal and definitely contributed to their 2 close losses this week. Southeast Louisiana Coach Ramon Montez was upset that Mike Bree did not gain the Conference Q Player of the Week award, saying, “Mike played two great games this week and was instrumental in both of our wins. The guy scored 53 points and dished out 10 assists in those two games, and he played damned solid defense as well. There’s no question he should have been the Player of the Week.”
