2/10: 90-68 over NJIT here at home. 59-26 at the half. We were HOT tonight. 19, 16 for Fole, 24, 7 for Engo, 25, 6, 4 for Jens. 9 TOs.

NJIT was one of the teams tied for 1st so now it's a 3 way tie.

Loy Fole is #3 on the Norton list.

Marty Buck: Working hard on recruiting. Of the three guys we're offering to who have not signed, 2 are interested. The 3rd is showing no interest. But I keep trying.

2/14: 83-88 at South Carolina Upstate, one of the teams that was tied for 1st. They're now alone in 1st. Three of us are tied for 2nd. They led by as many as 11 and we never led in the 2nd half. Outside D and rebounding hurt us. Jete fouled out. 21, 6, 5 for Fole.

The prison has a new psychologist. I started with him yesterday. The session was mostly me telling my story of how I got in here. He was pretty surprised to hear that I got life for what I did and agreed that it had to be because Mike was a cop.

"It seems like you should have recourse to some help."

"That kind of thing takes money or it takes getting some organization like the ACLU or prisoners' rights groups or something like that. I have no money and I've tried lots of times with those groups. Most times I don;t even get an answer. When I do, it's negative."

We talked for a while. He liked the fact that I'm studying law and said he hoped I'd learn what I need to know and do to get a fair shake. He seemed like a good guy.

2/17: 73-53 at Fairleigh Dickinson. We led all the way. 17, 2, 4 for Jens, 15, 3 for Fole. It was a sloppy game; we had 18 TOs, they had 27.

Still in a 3 way tie for 2nd with 4 to play.

I'm taking some really valuable notes as i study. There are several things I want to explore further. Right now I don;t know enough to do that exploring but as i learn more about criminal law I will get there. I'm taking good notes and filing them in a way that I'll be able to find them easily.

2/21: 79-66 over Navy here. We led most of the way, by as many as 20. Fole had his worst night of the last two seasons playing 8 minutes due to foul trouble. The rest of the team stepped up. 18, 7 for Jete, 15, 11, 3 for Engo, 9, 10 for Peke. +25 RBs.

It was nice to see us rebound so well. That hasn't happened every night this season.

In a 3 way tie for 1st with 3 to play.

Ron Jete: It was nice to know I can take over if I need to. With Fole having a bad night I felt like it was up to me, and I played that way.

2/24: 78-59 over Stetson here. We led all the way. 22, 13 for Fole, 14, 10, 3 for Engo, 17, 6 for Jete, 10, 6 for Peke.

Our last home game. We honored seniors, Loy Fole, Reg Adam, Ray Peke, and little used guard Kris Mari. Our last 2 are on the road.

Still in a 3 way tie for 1st.

2/28: 76-73 at Prairie View. 18 lead changes, 12 ties. They had it last and missed a three that would have sent it to OT. 26, 13, 3 for Fole, 14, 16 for Jete. 8 TOs. The bench gave us nothing tonight and it almost cost us.

In a 2 way tie with Coppin ST for 1st, with SO. Carolina Upstate one back. Big game on the road to finish the regular season.

3/3: 83-76 at North Dakota. We led all the way but they stayed close. 18, 16 for Fole, 16, 3, 5 for #3 guard Mark Rily, 15, 3, 3 for Engo.

We finish tied for 1st in Conf. T. We're the #1 seed.

Jete hurt his shoulder but he'll play.

3/5: We play #9 seed Alabama ST, 16-12, 8-8, in the quarter finals. They beat us by 15 at our place so this is not an easy game. We need to stop their outside game.

Loy is #4 on the Norton list.

3/6: 76-44. Turns out it WAS an easy game. We scored the 1st 11 and never looked back. Held them to 29.5% shooting. +14 RBs. Fole had 30 and 13, Jens 16, 1, 4. I want this kind of focus for two more nights.

#4 seed NJIT, 19-9, 10-6, in the semis. We won by 22 at our place. They have a terrific Center.

3/7: 101-74. 56-30 at the half. We really dominated again tonight. 26, 16 for Fole, 20,, 2, 4 for Jens, 14, 5, 7 for Adam. Our Centers didn;t put up numbers but they neutralized the other guy.

#2 seed Coppin ST, 23-6, 13-3, for the title. We won by 4 at their place in a very competitive game.

Scouting Coach Jab Moore: They have a balanced attack and a deep bench. Their Center and their guards did the damage last time. We overcame it, but barely. I'm telling Coach to play man to man and throw in some 3-2, and to get it to Fole and Engo.

3/8: 73-53 and the title! Going back to the big dance! We held them to 19 in the 2nd half. 26, 8 for tourney MOP Loy Fole, 11, 6, 5 for Engo, 10, 9 for Jete. We forced 25 TOs.

We really had a great tournament.

Given our low RPI, #85, I think we'll be lucky to get a #12 seed.

3/12: #9 East. We play #8 Auburn, 20-10. This will be a challenge. I think we can win it but we'll need to play solid D. They have a balanced attack and a strong bench.
