Hereafter

1/26: At 12-6, 4-4 Clemson. We won by 13 at home. We're better but it's a road game and we just got hammered. Let's see how we react to that.

I had a talk with Sam Prio about his recent foul issues.

1/27: We fall behind early. Down 2 after 10. 43-45 at the half. Once again our D is not getting it done. Duna has 3 fouls and our top 3 guards all have 2; not good. 12 points for Nico. Down 5 with 10 left.

86-74. A late run saved us. 20, 5 for Nico, 14, 7, 5, 3 for Prio, 12, 5, 1, 3 for Sims, 12, 4 for King, 13 for Barr. We won it inside.

51 fouls called. It evened out but the game had no flow. It never does, it can't, when it's just a parade to the foul line. Awful.

There's a solar system at about 2:00. We change directions and head that way. The probe doesn't have much info on it yet.

1/29: 11-8, 4-6 Illinois is here. We won by 17 there. This is a team we should beat easily.

Sam Prio is #6, Ari Duna #18 on the Norton list.

Our next 3 are at home.

1/30: We're sluggish early. VERY low score after 10 minutes, 11-4. 27-10 at the half; ridiculous score. Can our D be that good? We're shooting 34.4% to their 10.7%, 1-12 on threes! 40-27 with 10 left, so they're waking up more than we are.

59-40. A junior high score! 13, 10, 4 for Prio but he was 5-16. 17, 2, 3 for Laws. 8, 10 for Sims. An ugly game but we'll take the win.

At the halfway point in Big 10 play we're tied with #14 Maryland in 1st, with Indiana 2 back.

20-2, 9-1, #2, NET #1. I can see us going 9-1, with luck 10-0 for the 2nd half.

The probe says the solar system has a very weird configuration of planets and moons. 2 planets, each with a single moon in the Goldilocks zone but 3 planets quite close to the sun, and 7 too far away to be habitable. We'll be there in March.

2/2: 14-9, 7-5 Minnesota is here. They don't have a go to scorer but all 5 starters can score.

2/3: We take the lead right away but they come back. Down 1 after 10. 47-37 at the break. 12 for Laws, who has a hot hand lately, 11, 5
for Nico. 3 fouls for Duna, and for Ely King. 9 fewer TOs. Up only 8 with 10 to go.

77-70 but it wasn't that close. 16, 3, 4 for Laws, 13, 7 for Sims, 13, 6, 3 steals for Nico.11 fewer TOs.

2/9: A week between games was nice. 8-14, 2-11, last place Purdue ends the homestand. Their starting PF is out with a broken wrist; he's their 2nd best scorer and best defender. This should be a walk in the park.

2/10: We take the lead immediately. Up 6 after 10. 40-25 at the half. 11 for Prio. 3 TOs. Up 8 with 10 left; we're a little too relaxed.

80-65. They got it to 1 point before we woke up.

24, 5, 5 for SF Lars Nico, 15, 5, 7, 4 for Prio, 18, 0, 5 for Laws. 10 fewer TOs but 20 fewer in the paint, which is troublesome.

Maryland has lost 2 in a row and is now 2 games back.

2/11: Hali, June, and I had a great meal at India Kitchen, one of our favorite dining halls. There are three Indian places that we really like.

Afterward the Sats played. We're doing more and more of our own music as time goes by.

Coach Clark's goal is to win titles at 4 or 5 different schools and then go on to build up a low TP program. Given that he's in the afterlife he has plenty of time!

2/12: At 11-12, 6-7 Wisconsin. Their starting SF is banged up but he'll play. They have trouble scoring.

This is the first in a 3 game road trip.

Sam Prio is #9 on the Norton list.

2/13: It's close early. Down 3 after 10. 22-30 at halftime. 22 points for the half? That's terrible. 9 for Prio, but no one else has more than 4. Up 1 with n10 left; we need a run!

58-48. Very low scoring game. 36-18 in the 2nd half. 20, 7, 2, 3 for Prio, 12, 11, 1, 4 for Duna. +10 RBs.

Maryland is falling apart. We now lead them by 3 games with 7 to play.

Hali and I are on the boat. It is so relaxing to be out on the water. We both love it.

2/14: At 11-12, 7-7 Rutgers. Their starting C is banged up but will play.

2/15: Early lead. Up 4 after 10. 38-20 at the break. 13, 7, 2, 4 for Prio. +14 in the paint. Up 13 with 10 left.

66-50 in yet another low scoring game. We're certainly not giving up many points.

15, 10 for Sims, 13, 8, 5, 4 for Prio, 12, 3, 8, 4 for Laws. +16 down low.

The probe has found signs fo life on the 4th planet from the sun in the solar system we're approaching. No signs of complex life yet.

2/16: At 7-17, 1-13 Nebraska. This is a pretty awful team, but it's a road game.

2/17: Really slow start for both teams. Up 4 after 10. 35-19 at the half. 10 for Prio, 8 for Nico. 5 TOs. Up 18 with 10 to go.

73-47. It was never a game.

19, 6, 3, 3 for Prio, 15, 3, 3, 3 for Nico, 12, 6, 3, 4 for Sims. Duna has been quiet lately. 12 fewer TOs, 16 more in the paint.

We lead the Big 10 by 4 with 5 to play.

I win the ship's Texas Hold 'em tournament for the first time in a few years. I don't get to play more than 3 or 4 times a year but I always enjoy it.

2/19: 18-7, 10-5 Indiana is here. They embarrassed us at their place, winning by 19, in one of our two losses this season. They score 7 more than we do but give up almost 12 more. They're 3-0 vs. ranked teams.

It's good to be back home.

2/20: Back and forth to start. Up 9 after 10. 52-26 at the half; completely the opposite of the last game with them. +7 RB,s 8 fewer TOs.

Up 21 with 10 to play.

78-64. 17, 8, 4 for Prio, 11, 11, 4 for Duna but he and Sims fouled out. Easy win.

The parents of the young men lost in the holo accident continue to ask the Council to do more but there's really nothing we can do.
