Troy's worst offensive game came at a bad time, as Louisiana-Monroe was able to come into Trojan Arena and leave with a win. The Trojans had one of their better defensive games, but with just 18 made field goals it was tough to keep up after falling behind by as much as 21 in the first half. Gerald Griffin got the start after playing well off the bench during the last few weeks, but he was limited to just 3 points.

South Alabama continued their dominance of the Sun Belt, as they improved to 15-1 overall with an easy win at home against Troy. The Trojans fell way behind in the first half, and a 47-point second half wasn't nearly enough to make a comeback. Troy shot a sizzling 10-21 from three, but their 21 turnovers were very costly as it allowed South Alabama to score 10 points in transition.

Troy is doing well for such a small school. Several quality wins.

I'll be pretty happy if we can finish around .500 in the conference. The win at LSU was a nice surprise but I'm not sure how big of a deal that is considering they're also 7-9.

I'm really interested to see if South Alabama can build an at large resume. Their RPI is all the way up to 19, and while a 15-1 record is great, their best nonconference win was against a pretty average St. John's team.

In what was by far the worst game of the year so far, Troy was completely outclassed at home against UT-Arlington. The Trojans shot a dismal 32% from the field, and had only 11 assists which is way below their season average. Even Troy's free throw shooting was a big disappointment, as the team combined to go 8-18 from the line. Poor first halves have plagued the Trojans in recent weeks, and this time they fell behind by as much as 25.

The Trojans bounced back with an easy win to end their three-game losing streak, and it was a great showing on offense for the first time in two weeks. Steven Haslem fought through a minor wrist injury to score 25 points, and a strong defensive effort helped lead to a large margin of victory. Troy rebounded the ball very well, as Tremmell Brown and Rob Stone each pulled down 9 rebounds.

Troy took care of business on the road against the last place team, as the Trojans overcame a 14-point deficit with a huge second half. Danny Thomas recovered from a horrible shooting night against Arkansas State to score 20 points, and Oliver Smith had one of his best games off the bench with 11 points on 3-3 shooting from long range.

Injury Report: G/F Mike Guthridge suffered a broken ankle during the game, and will likely miss the rest of the season unless Troy makes a postseason run. Oliver Smith will now see more time off the bench, and Kevin Watson could also see an increased role on the wing.
