3/1: Back and forth. Up 2 after 10. A run puts us up 46-30 going into the lockers. Up 25 with 20 left; Shay has a hot hand.

84-67. 30 and 3 for Shay, 14, 5, 3 for Udel.

+8 RBs. We took 15 more shots, made 7 of them.

We close out the regular season with 13-16, 9-8 Colorado, here. There's no reason to think they can compete with us.

The Council accepts the invitation from the MuuGi and the message is sent.

3/4: We score the first 24 points! Up 22 after 10. 53-19 at the half; pathetic. Up 48 with 10 to play. Just let it end.

99-54. 16, 4, 7 for Shay, 12, 4, 11 for Ston, 13, 8 for Udel, 11, 4, 5 for Savo. Betz was in foul trouble all night.

+14 RBs, 4 TOs. +14 in the paint.

Del Betz is #5, Scot Shay #6 in the Norton list.

Del Betz and Ted Alan declare.

We end the regular season at 30-1, 17-1, #1, NET #1.

+21.1 PPG (#1 in PPG), +8.5 RBs (#2 in RBs), -7.4 TOs (11.1 TOs, #1).

Shay leads us with 18.5 PPG. Betz is 2nd with 15.2, 1st ion RBs with 7.7. Ston gets 5.5 assists.

We play #8 seed Washington, 15-15, 7-11, in the quarters. We beat them by 18 and 20. I don't think they can score enough points to compete with us.

Rather than a super conference, I think you're ready to join the NBA!

3/11: I truly hope we play Cal for the title. We need a decent opponent. We haven't had a one, or even a two possession game either last season or this season.

Early lead. Up 19-8 after 10 and we're not hitting shots. Up 13 at the half; Shay continues to have a hot hand. Up 14 with 10 to go.

84-68. 33, 3, 6, 3 steals, 3 blocks for Shay. He has 75 in the first two games of the tourney. 13, 5, 3 for Savo.

We shot 49.2%. -11 RBs, which is very unusual but but 7 TOs to 25. +20 in the paint.

I got my wish, it's #3 seed, #9 ranked Cal, 27-6, for the title. They beat us by 7 at our place so this definitely should be a challenge since both our starting bigs are out. They were both out for that game as well, and Cal beat us up inside. If we're going to beat these guys we need much better play inside. That's the key. Oh, and we can't give up 80 points again!

3/12: I'll admit it, I'm worried about their bigs. I recruited both of them when I was there.

Close early and Shay is in foul trouble. Up 2 after 10. Up 6 at the half but it's a battle! I ramp up the D. Up 3 with 10 left; I go to the man.

79-82. Damn! There were a dozen lead changes in the last 3 minutes. They doubled Shay and it worked, he only had 11.

20, 11 for Fox, 15, 8, 3, 3 steals for Savo. The stats were almost identical in every category. I'd love to play these guys when we're healthy, but injuries are part of the game.

We just got word that Betz will miss at least the first round of the NCAAs.

We're the #1 seed in the East, #1 overall. Not a bad bracket. We start with #16 seed Radford, 16-17. Betz could probably play but we should be able to easily win this game without him so I'm going to be prudent.

3/16: Slow start but we're winning. Up 6 after 10. Up 19 at the half but we're not playing very well. Huge talent differential. Up 23 with 10 left.

77-48 but we were mediocre. 20, 6, 4 for Shay, 18, 6 for Fox, 12, 9 for Udel, 13, 5 for #3 guard Ted Hart.

5 TOs to 18. We held them to 32.6% from the floor, 1-16 on threes.

#8 seed Texas Tech, 22-9, in the 2nd round. They have good PG but overall we think we're much better, especially with Betz back.

3/18: Quick start. Up 4 after 10. Betz is hot. Up 13 at the half. Up 15 with 10 left.

86-65. Betz was terrific, 28, 6, 4 steals. 12, 11, 3 for Udel. Shay was awful, fouled out in 14 minutes.

+10 RBs, 9 TOs to 22. +16 in the paint.

Next is #5 seed, #18 ranked Cincinnati, 23-9. They are strong at PG and PF but we think we're better overall.

3/23: I told my guys the easy games are all over. From here on we need to earn it.

Early lead but it's close. Mini-run and we're up 12 after 10. Big run extends the lead. Up 21 at the break; Betz and Udel are doing it. Up 18 with 10 to go. Shay has heated up.

82-63. 19, 11, 4, 3 blocks for Betz, 16, 13 for Udel, 21, 2, 4 for Shay.

+8 RBs, 5 TOs.

It's #2 seed, #6 ranked Gonzaga in the Elite Eight. We beat them by 17 at our place early on. Betz had a triple double that night. Their PG had 19 TOs, which is all but unbelievable. They have the ability to hit lots of threes; that's the only way they can beat us, in my view.

Alan is almost ready but we're not going to risk it.

Cal is still in it.

3/25: We need to stop their guards. 3-2? I'm going to start with it and we'll see what happens.

Back and forth. Out of the 3-2. Tied after 10. Ston is hot. Tied at the half and I max the D. Up 8 with 10 left. I go to the man. It worked!

79-69. Joel Ston played the game of his life, 19, 2, 10. Savo played even better, 28 and 13. 11, 9 for Udel. Betz was in foul trouble all night and did not play his game. 13, 5, 5 for Shay.

+14 RBs but 15 TOs to their 10. We won this one inside, but also with 11 threes.

Alan is back for the Final Four!

We sign a PG. Hoping for a Forward.

Cal is also going to the Final Four.

#2 seed, #5 ranked San Diego ST, 33-4, in the national semifinal. They have solid guards. They do a lot of things well. This could be a challenge. But we're at full force for the first time in a long time. Let's see how rusty Alan is.
