Nobody loves me enough to send a file inside a cake (sniff, sniff).

Instead of a cake, I baked you a loaf of bread. I'm sure the guards will never notice.

1/20: 84-80 at Coppin ST. Back and forth most of the way. We took charge late, building our biggest lead, 12, with a little over 4 minutes left. They chipped away but never quite caught up. 29, 6 for Fole, 15, 5 for Engo, 10, 9 for Jete, 14 for Peke.

Ray Peke: I'm playing okay but I need to make up my mind that I'm probably not going to get my starting job back unless someone gets hurt. In some ways it's okay to come in from the bench. I get to see what the other team is doing and what my guy is doing so I can guard him better.

1/24: 80-55 over Texas-Rio Grande here. We were down one at the half. This is a team we should not have been in a struggle with so I raised the roof in the locker room. My guys came out in the 2nd and took charge and it was soon no contest. 28, 12 for Fole, 15, 2, 3 for Jens, 11, 4 for Jete, 8, 5 for Peke.

Our combo at Center really does a good job most nights.

We're 13-3, 5-0, in 1st place in Conf. T, up 1 on NJIT and Navy, up 2 on 4 other teams. It's early.

Sometimes it's the little things. No windows in my cell, of course. No view anywhere, not even in the yard. I haven't seen a tree since I got here, a bush, a bird, anything in nature. You don;t realize how much you miss that stuff until it's taken from you. It is a constant, major challenge to keep depression from bringing you down when you're in prison, and it's a tough, tough battle.

1/27: 60-72 at Bethune-Cookman. They're a mediocre team, 8-9, but the road is never easy. They led all the way, by as many as 22. We shot only 32.7%, and only 19-37 from the line, which is inexcusable. We'll be working on both. 12, 12, 3 for Fole. They doubled him and we didn;t do a good job of finding the open man.

Ron Jete hurt his back but he shouldn't miss a game.

We're still alone in 1st place, 1 up on 4 teams.

1/29: Lost 2 recruits. They didn't hit our SAT score. CRAP!

Loy Fole is #4 on the Norton list.

1/31: 92-70 over No Point here. 53-26 at the half. 27, 11, 4 for Fole, 11, 10 for Jete, 12, 3 for Peke, 10, 7 for Adam, 9, 4, 6 for Jens. +19 RBs.

Ramping up recruiting but it's unlikely much will happen before March or April.

I guess maybe I am depressed. Staring at the same blank walls everywhere I look and every room I'm in, and outdoors too, when I get there, which isn't often at this time of the year, is getting to me. I'm still studying like mad. That law degree, and what I learn along the way, is my only hope.

2/3: 61-76 to Alabama ST. I HATE losing at home. 19 TOs, a season high, and -3 RBs- we rarely get out rebounded. The D was awful; they shot 58.2%, 11-18 on threes. 16, 9 for Fole, 14, 3 for Jete.

We'll be working harder during practice.

14-5, 6-2, in a 4 way tie for 1st and not happy about it.

Wondering if my attitude, mostly my depression, has anything to do with the loss. I need to get my energy up, especially when I'm coaching.

2/7: 73-60 at Northern Kentucky. We led most of the way but 13 was our biggest margin. 28, 12 for Fole; no one else had more than 10. Outside D really helped us. They were 3-21 on threes, mostly because they got almost no open threes. We played pretty well tonight.

Still in a 4 way tie for 1st.

Loy Fole: I'm having a good senior season. I had hoped to be outstanding enough to win the Norton Award. That's not going to happen but a second year as 1st team All American is definitely in sight.
