3/8: 93-80. We had a great 2nd ½. 21, 9 for sub Paul Jaes. 13 each for Iven, Brig, and Walk.
#8 seed GW, 12-17, 9-9, in the semis. They won by 4at their place.
3/9: 88-79. 24, 20 for Brag, 18 for Hoge.
#2 seed VCU, 22-8, 13-5, for the title. They beat us by 21 and 12, but the oddsmakers say it’s a toss up.
3/10: 81-98. We simply didn’t play D. 18 each for Brag and Iven.
22-11, RPI #58. PPG #59. NIT?
3/12: NIT, #1 East. We play #8 seed Santa Clara, 16-14.
3/13: 77-60. 17, 9 for Hays, 5 guys had 10 or more. 52 RBs, 11 TOs.
#4 seed Illinois, 17-15, in the 2nd round. They’re a good team.
3/15: 85-83. Never more than an 8 point margin either way. Great team effort.
#7 seed Pepperdine, 18-14, in the quarter final. We’re a big favorite but we need to stay focused.
3/20: 67-59. It wasn’t that close. We never trailed. 14, 20 for Brag, 16 for Brig. +20 RBs.
#4 seed Siena, 24-9, in the national semifinal. We’re a big favorite again.
3/28: 97-89. This one was close until late. 24, 12 for Brag, 22, 5 for Iven, 15, 5, 4 for Jaes.
#4 seed Georgetown, 22-15 for the title. They’re a 3 ½ point favorite, tough outside.
3/30: 79-86. It was tied with 2:44 left. They went on a 9-2 run at the end. 18, 10 for Brag, 19 for Hoge. So close…
4/3: #4 North Carolina is the champ.
4/4: Awards: Soph Lou Brag is A10 POY, Def. POY, 1st team along with junior Ben Hoge. Soph Paul Jaes makes the 2nd team. I am COY. After last season that’s nice.
4/23: I ask for money. We get $11,000.
