3/6: We play #10 seed Duquesne, 15-14, 7-11, in the play in. They beat us by 13 at our place but we’re a 1 ½ point favorite.

3/7: 78-68. 23, 8 for Hend, 10, 8, 4 for Spur. +15 RBs.

#2 seed St Bonnie, 18-10, 12-6, in the quarters. Beat them by 8, lost by 17. We’re a 1 ½ point fav.

3/8: 74-59. 22, 9 for Hend, 14, 9 for Spur. +15 RBs.

19-15, A 10 title, RPI #92. We won’t get a very good seed but we’re in.

3/12: #14 East. We play #3 seed, #9 ranked Indiana, 24-7. We’d have to play really well and they’d have to play poorly, but it’s possible.

Wait 'til you read this!

3/7: We play #8 seed George Mason, 13-15, 8-10 in the quarters. We won by 9 there and we’re a big favorite.

3/8: 86-75. 37, 15 for Lar Brag, 12 each for Spur and Evea. +9 TOs.

#5 seed St Bonnie, 16-14, 11-7, in the semis. We won by 10 at their place. We’re big favorites again.

3/9: 71-50. 20, 17 for Brag, 17, 9 for Spur. +18 TOs, +12 RBs.

#3 seed ST Joe, 21-9, 12-6, for the title. Beat them by only 3 at our place. Favored by 3 ½.

3/10: 81-60. 28 for Ben Hoge, 9, 13 for Ben Spur. +9 TOs. Great tournament!

27-4, A 10 champs, #11, RPI #13. Hoping for a #3 seed, or at worst a #4.

3/12: #4 South. We play #13 CCSU, 20-10.

3/17: 75-64. 18, 17 for Brag, 19, 14 for Spur. +15 RBs, 6 TOs.

#5 seed, #22 ranked Pitt, 20-10, in round 2. They’re a big favorite.

3/19: 85-74. They packed it in to stop our inside game so we lit it up outside. 18 for Hays, 16 for Hoge, 15 for #3 guard Asaf Amsa, and 12 for Evea. Great win and we’re in
the Sweet Sixteen!

#9 seed Texas A & M, 19-12, shocked the #1 seed, so we play them next. We’re favored, but only by a ½ point.

3/24: 75-72 and we’re in the Elite Eight! 14 each for Brag, Evea, Hoge. 15 for Hays.

#3 seed, #10 ranked Arkansas, 28-6. The game is rated a toss up. Their outside game vs. our inside game.

3/26: 84-76 and we’re in the Final Four! 20, 14 for Jon Hays, 15, 7, 5, 5, 2 for Lar Brag, 12, 6 for Ben Spur. What an amazing run!

#3 seed, #13 ranked Texas, 25-8, in the national semi-final. They’re truly excellent outside but we think we’re better inside. If we can play the game inside we have a shot although the odds makers REALLY like them.

4/1: 80-75 and we get to play for the national title! 14, 12 for Spur, 17, 4 for Hays, 11, 10 for Brag, 13, 9 for 6th man Vic Walk. It was back and forth all night but every time we needed a stop we got one, every time we needed a basket, we got one.

#1 seed, #1 ranked Michigan ST, 34-3, for the national title. They’re a huge favorite. Our only chance is to stop their outside game and come up big inside, but it won’t be easy.

4/3: 67-47. They completely shut us down. We played great D but we couldn’t get a thing going on O. 14, 5 for Spur, 7, 10 for Brag. WHAT A SEASON!!!

4/4: Awards: Soph Lar Brag is A10 POY, Def. POY, and 1st team, along with senior Ben Spur. Senior Jon Hays made 2nd team. I got COY>

4/23: I ask for $. $4,500. Not enough. We spent to hire new #2 and #3 assistants. Oh well.

32-5, ranked #9, RPI #13. 68-36, .654. +11.2 PPG (#27, #31).

65% D after 3 seasons: 68-36, .654, ranked #9, RPI #13. +11.2 PPG (#27, #31).
