2/26: 17-12, 9-9, RPI #86. +1.7 PPG (#59, #249), +6.3 RBs, +1.1 TOs. Given that we were picked to win the conference…

3/6: We play #9 seed Richmond, 11-16, 8-10, in the play in. Beat them by 14, then by 5 in OT.

3/7: 91-68. 20, 5 for Spur, 18, 6 for Hend, 13 each for guards Hoge and Neil, 14, 11 for Hays. +16 RBs, 7 TOs.

#1 seed VCU, 18-10, 14-4, in the quarters. We lost by 14, then won by 11. We can beat these guys if we play.

3/8: 84-77. 30, 7 for Hend. Great win!

#5 seed ST Bonnie, 20-10, 10-8, in the semis. Beat them by 21 and we’re a 4 ½ point favorite.

3/9: 74-56. 16, 11 for Spur, 20, 6 for Hend, 17 for Hoge. +15 RBs.

#6 seed Davidson, 18-12, 10-8, for the title. Beat them by 14, and we’re favored by 3 ½.

3/10: After a very disappointing regular season we win the A10 tourney, 84-73. 21 for Neil, 15, 8 for Hend. Amazing!

21-12, RPI #68. We don’t expect a great seed, but hey, we’re in!

3/12: #13 East. We play #4 seed, #14 ranked Kansas, 24-7. Yikes!

3/16: 67-93. We were never in it. We’re losing Joe Hend and Nya Neil.

4/3: #7 Butler is the champ.

4/4: Awards: Joe Hend is A10 POY, 1st team, along with junior PF Ben Spur. Senior SG Nya Neil made the 2nd team.

4/23: I ask for money. Got $11,000.

21-13, #61 PPG, #218 PPG Allowed. Overall after 2 seasons, 38-28, .576.

9/18: We get 2 PFs, #62 and #180. We lose a big and a guard.

9/25: We get 2 PGs, #11 and #157, and we lose a big.

10/2: We get a PF, #126.

12/15: 5-2, RPI #161. Heading to the Winter Jam. We play #4 seed Marshall, 5-2. We’re #5.

12/16: 80-67. 19, 5 for PF Ben Spur, 12, 16 for C Lar Brag, 17, 4, 7 for PG Juan Rola. +14 RBs.

#1 seed, #20 ranked Georgia Tech, 8-0, in the semis. They’re really good, especially outside.

12/17: 57-65. We stayed in it most of the way but they were better. 14, 20 for Brag, 15 each for Spur and Hoge.

12/25: 7-3, RPI #49. +9.0 PPG (#71, #78), +8.2 RBs, +3.7 TOs. Brag leads us with 18.2, 13.9.

1/29: 16-4, 9-1, ranked #25, RPI #25. 2 game lead in the A10. +11.0 PPG (#33, #36), +6.9 RBs, +4.2 TOs. Brag leads us with 19.6, 12.9.

2/26: 23-6, 15-3, #22, RPI #31. We win the A10 by 2 games. +10.0 PPG (#31, #50), +7.0 RBs, +3.6 TOs. Brag gets 20.4, 12.8.

3/7: We play #8 seed LaSalle, 14-14, 9-9, in the quarters. Beat them by 24 at our place.

3/8: 88-71. 26, 16 for Brag, 26, 4, 4 for Hoge. +14 RBs, 6 TOs.

#4 seed Richmond, 16-13, 10-8, in the semis. Beat them twice in the regular season.

3/9: 95-81. 19, 14, 5 for Brag, 24 for Hoge, 18, 5, 4 for Spur.

#10 seed ST Louis, 15-15, 8-10, is HOT. We play them for the title. Beat them by 22 and 7. We’re a big favorite.

3/10: 86-71. 19, 10 for tourney MOP Lar Brag. 20, 2, 9 for Hoge, 17 for Vic Walk.

26-6, #17, RPI #27. Hoping for a #6 seed.

3/12: #6 Midwest. We play #11 Washington, 19-10. They have terrific guards and they’re a 2 ½ point favorite.

3/16: 75-80. Disappointing, but they were the better team. 28, 17 for Brag, +16 RBs, but we didn’t shoot well and we gave up 15 threes.

4/3: 1 Duke is the champ.

4/4: Awards: Soph C Lar Brag is A10 POY, Def. POY, 1st team, along with junior guard Ben Hoge and senior PF Ben Spur. I get Conf. COY.

4/23: I ask for a budget increase. We get $10,500, which we needed. Had to spend $ on #2 and #3 assistants.

26-7 season. Overall for 3 seasons, 64-35, .646, #19 PPG, #53 PPG Allowed. +10.0 PPG).

OUCH! Juan Rola, possibly our best guard, is transferring. Never a hint that this was coming. Damn!

6/5: Room for 2 transfers.

6/12: No luck.

6/26: 4 scholarships. We need 3 guards.

8/21: We offer to 2 PGs, 2 SGs.

9/18: Got an SG, #66. Lost a PG.

No in season tourney.

9/25: We get a PG, #56, an SG, #147. Lost a PG.

10/2: We lose another one.

1st day of practice. We’re picked to finish 3rd in the A10. We are VERY thin at guard.

10/16: We get a C, #66.

2/26: 20-8, 14-4. RPI #40. 12 game winning streak lands us alone at the top of the A10. +10.5 PPG (#17, #84), +10.3 RBs, +2.6 TOs. Brag gets 24.8, 13.6, both #2 in the nation.

3/7: We play #9 seed George Mason, 13-15, 7-11, in the quarters. We won by 20 there.

3/8: 92-70. 20, 17, 5 for Lar Brag, 19, 10 for PF Tim Hill, 22 for SF Vic Walk.

#5 seed GW, 17-13, 11-7, in the semis. Beat them by 21 and 10 but the oddsmakers have it as a tossup.

3/9: 78-66. We led all the way. 23 each for Hill and Walk. 12, 17, 6, 4 for Brag. +20 RBs.

#2 seed, #15 ranked Duquesne, 26-5, 13-5 for the title. They won by 17 there, then we won by 18 at our place.

3/10: 81-75 and the title. 23, 12 for Brag, 18 for Ad Brig.

15 game winning streak, 23-8, RPI #34. Hoping for a #6 but it will more likely be a #7, or even a #8.

3/12: #9 Midwest. We play #8 seed Colorado, 22-11. We’re favored.

3/16: 75-58. 21, 19 for Brag, 12, 11 for Hill. +17 RBs. 16 wins in a row.

#1 seed, #2 ranked North Carolina, 30-3, in the 2nd round. This is a HUGE challenge.

3/18: 64-93. Ugly. My guys did their best but they were completely overmatched.

4/3: #1 Duke repeats.

4/4: Awards: Lar Brag is A10 POY and 1st team with seniors Ben Hoge and Vic Walk. Tim Hill is Frosh OY and 2nd team.

4/23: I ask for a facilities upgrade. Got it. C+ to B+.
