We travel down to Virginia to take on the Lancers. This one could have gone either way. We took a 3 pt lead into the half. We win it 87-80. The difference was rebs. We were +15. This victory moves us to 3-3 in conference.

We started off hot and outplayed them in the firsy half. We led 43-28.The Bison fought hard the second half but it was too little, too late. Final Bison 73 Hawks 81

The first half was a close game. They led 29-27. But it was a different game the second half. Our defense shut them down. We took our 4th straight win 74-53.

UMES Hawks 10-9 5-3 @Mississippi Valley Delta Devils 7-12 3-5 Feb 8

A long ride to Mississippi and a longer ride home. The Devils controled things the whole game. Our worst performance in conference. We shot poorly and rebounded poorly. They had a 9 pt led at half. The second half was awful. They destroyed us 83-58.

Cant really highlight a best player as no one played well. We have a home game against Grambling next. Hope the boys put this one behind them and get back on track. We fall to a 2 way tie with Alcorn St. for 7th place

Grambling Tigers 15-5 6-3 @ UMES Hawks 10-10 5-4 Feb 11, 2021

After getting stomped last game by them devils the boys were fired up and came out ready to hunt some tigers. We led 40-29 at half and won 75-59

We dominated in the paint +16. rebs we were+10.

UMES Hawks 11-10 6-4 @Alcorn State Braves 7-14 5-5 Feb 15, 2021

Shooting lost this one for us. We coulnt hit anything. Also we only got 7 fts compared to their 28. We only hit 2 of those 7. The refs called 23 fouls on us and only 6 on them. Oh well.

That leaves us and the Braves tied for 7th in conf.

Guess the refs were just taking pity on your team since the refs obviously decided sending them to the line was a waste of time.
