As part of the testing of an early version of NCAAhoop’s Greatest Teams mod, I selected 16 teams within the mod that were National Champs. He’s since added more national champion teams and also tinkered with individual skill levels and team prestige levels a little since I played this tourney, but the teams and players remain the same. Using CB20 Tournament Maker I simmed the games with the AI running all teams. Setting up the tournament within Tournament Maker was a cinch. The teams were not “seeded” but rather randomly placed in the 1st round games.
Great players turned in some outstanding performances. With all these teams being so good, I think that in any given game the results could be different between any two teams. I was impressed at how well NCAAhoops had tailored the players and coaches so that they were extremely realistic in how they performed.
My impression of the mod is that it is a lot of fun and offers a lot of different ways to play “what if” scenarios. I highly suggest you download and install this mod and do some “road testing” of it. It can be great not only when played with Tournament Maker, but also Exhibition mode and seasonal play.
