Be sure NOT to locate to a state that doesn't allow ex-felons to VOTE.

(and speaking of voting, everyone...be sure to do it by...or preferably well before...Nov 3 this year)

2/23: 82-68 over Texas-Arlington here. It was close for more than 30 minutes before we opened up a 17 point lead. 20, 9, 5 for Wood, 16, 4, 4 for Wilk, 12, 7 for Spen. +15 RBs.

Cory Ward has pretty much sewn up the starting SF spot. He's playing well most nights.

We're in a 5 way tie for 4th. We absolutely have to win our last 2.

Thinking about my release and slowly making plans. It's too early to do any real planning but I'm kind of ... organizing my thoughts and thinking about things.

2/27: 68-48 over Hawaii here. We led for the last 35 minutes. 18, 7 for Spen, 17 for Wilk. +13 RBs but 19 TOs (They had 22).

One left, at Duquesne, 8-18, 6-9. We're in a 2 way tie for 4th so it's a must win.

3/2: 71-68! We wind up alone in 4th so we should be promoted to Conf. H. It's been a struggle! We took a 14 point lead midway through the 2nd half after having trailed by 14 early in the 1st. From that point on the Dukes chipped away, but they never quite caught us. They hit a last second three to make the final score closer than the game actually was. 20, 5 for Wood, 16 for Wilk, 12 each for Spen and Wolf.

3/6: #5 seed Western Kentucky, 15-13, 9-7, in the quarter final. They won by 11 there.

Scout Jab Moore: They have a deep bench. They move the ball very quickly and like to work it inside. They play a lot of man to man. We think we're better and we're favored by 1 1/2, but we'll need to earn it.

3/7: 66-57. We led by 13 at the half and were never challenged in the 2nd half. Wood was HUGE! 18, 10, 5, 6 steals, 5 blocked shots. 14, 5, 5 for Wilk.

#1 seed South Florida, 22-7, 13-3, in the semis. They won by 10 there.

Scout Jab Moore: They're very good inside and they have a deep bench. They press often and go with mostly man to man on D. They beat us outside last time; their guards scored 35 and they turned us over a season high 23 times. We need to do better.

3/8: 78-69. GREAT WIN!!! We trailed by 2 at the half but never trailed by more than 4. We finally took charge with 5 minutes to play. +18 RBs and 14 TOs, compared to 23 the last time we played them. Kev Wilk stepped up BIG with 23, more than their starting back court scored (19). Our outside D was the difference, as opposed to last time when it let us down. 10, 13 for Spen, 12 each for Wood and Ward, and good bench play. Just a great effort at a crucial time.

We play #3 seed Winthrop, 21-8, 11-5, for the title. They beat us by 3 at their place last time. Scout Jab Moore: They are tough inside. We think we can beat them outside, and we think our bench is better. We'll need to beat their man to man D, and stop them inside.

3/9: 70-72. Damn! A season high 26 TOs, including 2 in the last minute, and their bench beat ours, 30, 8, 6 to 16, 9, 4. We had it last and threw it away on a bad pass. 19, 3 for Ward, 17, 1, 6 for Wilk, 10, 8, 4 for Ward. We should have won this one but you've got to take care of the ball.

I'm guessing we'll be back in the NIT.

3/12: NIT #5 East. We play #4 Texas Tech, 17-12.

Jab Moore: They have a strong inside game and they play a tough man to man. We'll need to play well on both ends in this one.

3/13: 81-79. Whew! 20 lead changes, 9 ties, never more than a 7 point gap either way. The lead changed hands or was tied 4 times in the last minute, and on the last play Dave Wood blocked a shot to give us the win. Wilk led us with 20. Wilk had 16, 3, 4. Dave Howe had 12 and 5 from the bench. +10 RBs.

#1 seed Arizona, 18-13, in the 2nd round.

Jab Moore: They're a big favorite, and they should be. We might have a slight edge inside but they have excellent guards. They play a tenacious man to man. This one is a real challenge.

3/15: 46-62. We scored a pathetic 19 in the first half, and were never really in it. Last game for Spen, Ward, and Kest.

4/3: #3 Georgetown is the champ.

4/4: Awards: Dave Wood is Conf. I POY, Frosh OY and 1st team along with Kev Wilk and Gar Spen.

4/9: Would I move? It would take a pretty terrific offer.

Nothing interesting.

4/23: I ask for a facilities upgrade.

No.

4/24: I am scheduled to be released from Walpole a year from today.

My attorney and I have petitioned Walpole for me to be allowed to work for Born Free, remotely, from here, rather than continuing to work in administration of food services. There's a lot of legal work i can do remotely, accessing records, chiefly. The justification is twofold: First, I would be fully ready to take on the work upon my release, and second, I would be able to save enough money to be independent when I am released.

The prison Board will take this up at their May meeting.
