Since I included real recruits in the game, here is a list of actual recruits that will be returning next season.

Class of 2021 (Based on 24/7 Rank)
SF Patrick Baldwin Jr., Milwaukee
PF Caleb Houstan, Michigan
SF Peyton Watson, UCLA
SF Kendall Brown, Baylor
PG Tyty Washington, Kentucky
C Daimion Collins, Kentucky
C Moussa Diabate, Michigan
SF A.J. Griffin, Duke
SG Max Christie, Michigan St.
SF Max Cleveland, Florida St.
PF Brandon Huntley-Hatfield, TN
PG Nolan Hickman, Gonzaga
SF Jaylon Tyson, Texas
SG Malaki Branham, Ohio State
SG Langston Love, Baylor
SG Kawacie Reeves, Florida

I didn't include any freshman from the Big East because the entire recruiting classes were included for each team (Kaluma, Nembhard and Alexander at Creighton, Hawkins at UConn, Mohammed at Georgetown, etc.). I should note that Baldwin was injured for most of the season and that's probably why he chose to return.

Romeo Weems Sign with Agent, Enters NBA Draft
DePaul's junior forward Romeo Weems has signed with an agent, thus bypassing his remaining eligibility as he becomes eligible for the 2022 NBA Draft. Weems was a two-year starter for the Blue Demons, coming off his best season in Lincoln Park as a junior.

This past season, Weems improved offensively while scoring 9.6 points per game on almost 50% shooting from the field. He is a capable defender, able to guard multiple positions and play at either forward spots like he did at DePaul.

Weems considered entering the draft last year, especially among the changes to the coaching staff last offseason. Instead, he returned to school and definitely improved his draft stock in the process.

"Playing under Coach Payne definitely helped my game," Weems said in a statement he posted to his social media. "I'm lucky for my three years at DePaul but now I'm ready for the next chapter."

This chapter closes after Romeo Weems came to DePaul as a highly regarded prospect. The former Mr. Basketball in the state of Michigan was the #1 player out of Michigan in the Class of 2019.

From New Haven, he came in with national attention after being ranked as high as the 62nd best player in the Class of '19. He played immediately as a freshman, earning minutes and showing his prowess on both ends of the floor.

Still a raw prospect, it's unknown if he will be drafted. He said he will consider all routes to play professionally, but his ultimate dream is to play in the NBA. He now leaves DePaul with an open scholarship for next season and the team loses an important player after a good season.

Okpara Decommits, Sign with Penn State
Four-star forward Chisom Okpara from La Lumiere has backed out of his verbal commitment with DePaul. Instead, he has decided to sign his Letter of Intent with Penn State. Citing his relationship with the players on the roster, he was excited by new Head Coach Micah Shrewsberry.

The previous top rated recruit in DePaul's class, it opens up a scholarship for the Blue Demons. The staff said they expected "some possible changes," without mentioning that Okpara's commitment was wavering.

The coaching staff has made some recent offers including to players from schools in the D.C. area. Guard Devin Dinkins, also considering Penn State, was recently offered by DePaul. Same with forward Jared Turner, who is considering numerous Division 1 offers.

DePaul's class for 2022 is rated in the middle of the Big East. If they're able to replace Okpara, it's possible they could move into the top half of the conference's recruiting class rankings.
