#14 Kansas State Wildcats (5-0) @ #9 Indiana Hoosiers (6-2)
Mike Morrison: This is a good matchup. The Wildcats D is awesome (52.8 ppg) while we do damage offensively (80 ppg), so we’ll see which predominates. We jumped out to a very early lead and then let the Wildcats move past us just 4 minutes into the game. We were unable to catch up until there were just 3 minutes remaining in the first half. At the half we led 31-26 due to some good D. In the 2nd half our defense was even stingier and we raced away leaving Kansas State in the dust. We finished with a 65-48 victory. Even though we made a disturbing 20 turnovers, we outshot the Wildcats 46% to 28% and were +12 on the boards. SF Chris Broussard—13 pts, 3 reb, 2 ast, 2 stl; PG Mike Williams—11 pts, 3 reb, 3 ast; SG Ray Richardson—11 pts, 4 ast; PF Brian Valdez—10 pts, 5 reb; C Marcus Wright—9 pts, 10 reb, 3 ast, 3 stl.
