2/18: 85-63. We take an early lead but they keep it under 10 until the end of the half- up 10 at the break. If we had really wanted to the margin could have been greater.

41, 5 for Baky. His opponent had 8. 8, 12 for Moby, 11, 6 for Palt, 10, 7 for Sulu, 10 assists for Nash.

+16 RBs, 12 TOs. We took 11 more shots and made 8 of them.

Moby is a fragile player. He's out yet again. This time it's his back. Out for a week.

We now lead the PAC 12 by 4.

#22 ranked Stanford, 21-6, 9-5, here. We won by 14 there. Their C can play but we think ours is better, and we feel we are easily the better team. We just need to play our game.

2/22: 93-81. Close early. Up 2 at the half. We go on a run early in the 2nd. We led by as many as 17 in the 2nd, but they never quit.

They did a great job of doubling Baky and held him to 21, 5, 4 with 4 steals. His man got 9. 19, 9 for Mosh, 15, 6 for Moss.

+5 RBs, 7 TOs to their 24.

We took 24 more shots and made 7. +20 in the paint.

5 game lead.

At 12-16, 5-10 UCLA next. We beat them by 24 at our place. We should control the boards, and by a good margin. Once again, if we play our game we'll be fine.

"You don't have any star, Lu."

"Nope, we do it all with teamwork. My 5 starters all average between 12.1 and 10.3, my 6th gets 9.7, and my 7th gets 8.8. That makes us hard to defend."

"Good strategy. I like to have a go to, but I can see where that approach could work, too."

2/25: 90-71. Up 10 four minutes in. They came back. Up 4 at the break. Baky is in foul trouble; first time all year. We were in control for most of the 2nd half but they didn't make it easy.

Baky was held to 22, 2, 4, mostly because of foul trouble, but his man took the collar. 14, 4, 3 for Jonn, 12, 6 for Palt.

+6 RBs, 8 TOs to 19 for them. WE shot only 36.8% but took 17 more shots. We only made three of them but had 8 threes to their 4, and 26 free throw to their 17.

Moby is back.

Two games next. Next is 11-16, 5-11 Oregon ST here. We won by 19 there. Yet again, if we play our game it should be easy. I just may try the 2-3 again.

3/1: 77-57. Baky scored the first 13 for our team. Up 10 with 8 to play in the 1st. Up 14 at the half. We were a little too relaxed in the 2nd, mostly watching Baky score. Not a good sign.

43, 3, 5 for Baky, his 9th 40+ game of the season. Amazing! His man had 5. 14, 18 for Moby, maybe his best game all season.

+22 RBs 10 TOs. We only shot 35.7% but they shot 34.8%. We had a 14 point edge from the line.

Josh Jonn hurt his shoulder. He may miss a game.

We end the regular season at 16-13, 6-11 USC. Their PF is a scorer and a rebounder and they have a good, deep bench, but we're a far better team.

3/4: 75-58. Close early. Finally got a 10 point lead with 7 to play in the 1st. Up 16 at the half. They never threatened us in the 2nd.

Baky had only 25, 1, 6 due to a good double team, but his man had a big fat zero. 10, 14 for Moby, who is looking really good right now.

We win the PAC 12 by 6 games over #16 Arizona and #21 Utah. 8 or more over the rest.

Baky remains #1 on the Norton list.

3/5: This is the day players declare for the pro draft and I'm dreading it.

Baky and Moby are going pro. I'm delighted that Sulu is staying. No surprise about the other two but I really thought it would be Baky and Sulu because Moby missed so many games due to injuries.

Recruit PG Keith Barr will be important to us. He should be ready to start on Day One.

3/9: We play #9 seed UCLA, 14-18, 6-12. We beat them by 24 and 19 so we need to play our game and that should do it.

3/10: 84-65. They led early. Baky got in foul trouble. We came back. Up 6 at the half. We were in control throughout the 2nd.

24, 12 with 4 blocks for Moby. 23, 3, 4 for Baky.

+16 RBs, 10 TOs. We held them to 37.9%, 5-17 on threes.

+18 in the paint.

Ugh! Our starting PG, Evan Nash, has back issues. He's going to miss the rest of this tourney and at least 2 games in the NCAA. What a year for injuries! Josh Jonn will start at the Point.

#4 seed Washington, 19-11, 10-8, in the semis. We beat them by 25 and 23. If we play our game we'll beat them again.

3/11: 70-54. We scored the 1st 7, led by 10 quickly. Up 21 at the half. And once again we owned them in the 2nd.

Baky led us with 27 and 6, and held his man to 4. 16, 9 for Moby. Sulu has not been playing well. We will need him at his best for the rest of the season.

#2 seed, #20 ranked Utah, 25-8, for the title. We won by 22 there. Their best player is their PG so Jonn will need to play well. He did today, incidentally. We feel like we're the better team, even with Nash out.

The women won the PAC 12 easily. They'll be a #1 seed.

3/12: 96-75. We take an early lead behind Baky, who is red hot. Up 28 at the half. This was never a game; it was a romp.

Baky led us with 30, 5, 3. 26, 7 for Palt, 13 assists for Jonn.

+20 RBs,.

We should be the #1 overall seed.

#1 East. We play #16 Fairfield, 18-15. We still don't have Nash, but Jonn should easily get us through this one.

The women are #1 West.

3/16: 85-58. 13-1 after 5 minutes. Up 27 at the half. It was never in doubt.

20, 5, 4 for Palt, a season low 14, 4 for Baky who only played 23 minutes. 10, 12, 3 for Moby. Good bench play.

+5 RBs, 7 TOs. WE shot 52.9%, they shot 37.5%.

#8 seed Kansas St, 22-11, in the 2nd round. Their best player is their PG, and they have a good outside game. But talent wise we're much better. We just need to keep our focus. Nash will not play in this one, but hopefully in the next, assuming we get there.

The women are in the Sweet Sixteen.

3/18: 91-55. We take an early lead and quickly get it to double figures. Up 13 at the half. And again, we were in control all the way.

27, 4 for Baky. 19, 6, 5 for Palt, 17, 4, 7 for Jonn.

+6 RBs, 6 TOs. We scored 11 more baskets, and 11 more threes.

#12 seed Anal Roberts, 23-11 is our opponent in the Sweet Sixteen. They beat #5 and #13 to get here. If we play our game they shouldn't have much chance, if any.

Nash is back at the Point.

The women are in the Elite Eight.
