4/1: Back and forth in the early going. Up 6 after 10 minutes. 37-41 at the half. They're shooting 44.4% to our 33.3%. We just need to make shots. Lazo is 2-10, Froz is 0-4! We have our work cut out for us! Up 10 with 10 to go but they're not quitting.

74-65! We had to work for this one. 22, 15, 4 for Lazo but only 7-18. Froz was 1-8. We shot much better in the 2nd half and gave up only 24 points.

It's #6 seed, #25 ranked Michigan for the title. They beat us there and we blew them out at our place. They are another outside team. We score more and give up fewer. This is a team we should beat.

4/3: We take a quick lead. Up 17 after 10 and looking good! 39-18 at the half and we're in control. 9 and 9 for Lazo. We own the inside. Froz has 3 fouls. We're holding them to 21.7% shooting. Up 21 with 10 to play.

75-43. Stifling D! They shot 25.9% for the game. 17, 13 for MOP Dale Lazo, 14, 4 for Rhod. 9 TOs and total control in the paint.

4/4: Awards: Dale Lazo is national POY, Norton Award winner, and tourney MOP as well as 1st team, and Frosh OY. I get national COY. Lazo is Conf. POY, Frosh OY and 1st team, along with Art Froz. Jam Rood makes the 2nd team and I am Conf. COY.

For 44 seasons I am 1428-258, .847. 12 national titles. So most national titles, most wins, highest winning pct. in NCAA history. Not bad.

Now let's see if I can bring Harry Sands to the heavyweight title, but that's a report for a different forum.
