3/12: #1 West. We face #16, play in winner NC-Central, 17-15. This should be a romp.

3/17: We take the lead immediately. Up 50-20 at the half. 17 for Mile, 12 for Graw. Crushing them inside. Up 26 with 10 to go.

88-51. It was a slaughter. 21, 7 for Mile, 16, 12 for Graw, 18, 5, 4 for Hale filling in at PG. +30 inside, +25 RBs.

We held 3 power outage drills in 5 days.

3/18: It's #9 seed Xavier, 23-12, in Round 2. We figure to overpower them inside.

3/19: We jump out to a lead right away. Up 12 after 10. 48-28 at the half. 20, 8 for Graw. Up 26 with 10 to play.

87-59 and on to the Sweet 16. 26, 16 for Graw. +27 RBs, +28 inside.

Hale hurt his wrist but both he and Oslo should be back for our next game.

3/23: #4 seed, #11 ranked Oregon, 28-8, is next. They're better outside than in.

We're back at full strength.

3/24: Early lead. Up 15 after 10. 48-30 at the half. 16 for Gare, but he has 3 fouls. Up 17 with 10 left. They made a run and got it to 6 but we answered.

92-74 and we're in the Elite 8. 22, 8, 3 for Graw, 20, 1, 3 for Gare. 8 TOs and control inside.

Another power failure, as usual, during the time when most people are sleeping. We did much better this time, only two minor injuries.

3/25: #11 seed Washington, 22-14, is next. They've beaten #6, #3, and #7, so they're hot. On paper it's an easy game but again, they're hot.

3/26: We score the first 17. Up 18 after 10. 40-14 at halftime. They just can't score, 12.1%, 2-15 on threes. Graw is outscoring their whole team with 19 and 10. Up 31 with 10 left.

74-42. Another easy win and we're in the Final Four! 21, 11 for Graw who spent the 2nd half in foul trouble. 16, 2, 6 for Oslo. A big edge inside.

3/31: We play #1 seed, #3 ranked Illinois, 31-4. We won by 7 there in our only meeting. We think we have an advantage inside but they can play, 7-2 vs. ranked teams. We won it with D and outside play last time.

#3 seed Wisconsin vs. #1 seed Kansas in the other game.

4/1: Close early, as expected. Tied after 10. Then we go on a run. 39-21 at halftime. 14 for Graw. They're shooting 18.8% to our 45.7%. Up 25 with 10 left. Subs are in early.

76-54 and we're in the title game! 25, 20 for Graw, 15, 7 for Mile, 11, 6, 5, 3, 3 for Gare. +20 in the paint, +17 RBs, 11 TOs.

4/2: As expected it's #1 ranked Kansas, 38-2 for the title. We're favored but they're tough, especially outside. We'll need to contain their outside game and control the paint.

It's been a long time trying for title #9. Is this the year?

4/3: Back and forth early. Up 6 after 10. 45-36 at the half. Their C has 3 fouls. To here we're winning both inside and outside.

“Don't let up. This is what we've been working for all year!”

Up 14 with 10 to play; we're almost there! We get the lead to 20!

84-66 and my 9th national title! 25, 4, 6 for Oslo, 18, 14 for Graw, 12, 5, 6, 4 for Gare. +14 RBs. +13 from the line.

We were never challenged in the Big Dance.

Staying here. TP goes to 100.

4/23: I ask for a facilities upgrade.

No.

5/1: #1 preseason, #1 recruiting class.

5/29: We lose We lose a forward who would have played, and a guard who wouldn't have. We want a guard and a big.

Round 1: We offer to an SG and a C, both Bs. We get the SG. He'll get minutes.

Round 2: We offer to a PF, a B. Got him. Got him. He will likely start.

6/25: We will go to Indy and to all of the regional camps.

6/26: 3 scholarships. We need guards.

The ship is getting old and we've been experiencing more malfunctions and breakdowns lately. We have the capability of simply 3D printing new replacement parts and systems as needed, which helps. We haven't had an absolutely major crisis yet and we try to be pre-emptive.

8/7: 4 on t6he Norton list: PF Tori King is #1! PG Kev Oslo #8, PF Joe Zinn #13, PF Eric Marn #32.

Minor disaster in the engine room. Every stopped. There's a back up so things stopped slowly, but they stopped. We're at a standstill. The engineers and computer people are trying to figure out what's wrong.

8/13: No answer yet regarding the engine problems. The geeks are diving deep and finding nothing and the engineers can find nothing wrong with the engines so they're saying it has to be a computer issue. These things can take a long time. All other systems are operational so the crew is doing fine.

8/21: We offer to 2 PGs and an SG. They all like us so we're hopeful.

Still no solution re the engine problem.

8/29: The geeks figured it out. Something corrupted in a program buried VERY deeply. They're fixing it.

9/11: We get a PG, #4, our #1 pick.

The engine fix, or rather the computer fix, took a very long time. We're back underway now.

9/18: We get the other 2, SG #15, PG #49. They're all good students so they should hit our SAT score.

For the 3rd consecutive year we are not invited to an in season tournament. Something is wrong!

10/2: 1st day of practice. As long as our bigs stay healthy we'll be really good.

11/12: Here's the lineup: Junior Kev Oslo is back at PG and looking really good.

Senior Don Gare is back at SG.

#3 guard is senior Jam Edds who would start for lots of teams. #4, soph Art Froz, is a transfer from Kona where he started. Then comes senior Don Hale, who is very good for a #5 guard. We're deep at guard!

Frosh Joe Zinn is at SF and he can play!

Frosh Tori King is at PF. He will almost certainly be our best player.

Junior Eric Marn, a transfer from Creighton, is at C. He also looks very good.

1st big man off the bench is soph Ike Davy who is a very good rebounder. Junior Mick Deon also rebounds well but doesn't do much else. Frosh Kev Jonn shows a lot of promise. Frosh Vico Posa looks like he might have been a wasted choice.

We are not deep inside so let's hope we stay healthy there!

11/23: A slaughter over #10 Syracuse, 93-48, in our home opener. 19, 11, 7 for PF Tori King, 17, 4 for SF Joe Zinn, 15, 4 for C Eric Mann. +22 in the paint, +13 RBs.

A 99-63 beating of Arkansas here. Only up 4 at the half, but 55-23 in the 2nd. 29, 14, 6 blocks for King. 10, 16, 4 for Zinn. Better guard play, especially from #3 guard Jem Edds, 15. +30 RBs, +22 down low, +19 on 2nd chances. 7 TOs.

95-78 over #11 Baylor here. We led all the way, by as many as 25. 29, 19, 4 for King, 19, 8, 3 for Zinn. Good bench play. +27 RBs, +18 down low.

Lots of systems and machines breaking down on the ship. We're trying to do a total check and overhaul of everything but it will take time.
