3/12: #5 rank, #7 NET. Looks like a #2 seed.

#1 West. I'm shocked! We play play in winner, #16 seed Navy, 19-14.

3/17: They take an early lead. Down 3 after 10. We could not be flatter. We wake up a little but not much. 34-34 at halftime. Anso has 3 fouls again and I really let him have it on the bench when he picks up #3. 18 for Ausk, who is the only thing keeping us in this game. 4 TOs. Up 1 with 10 left. We just have no spark.

80-65. We score the last 12 points. 38 for Ausk, nearly half our points. -9 RBs. 9 TOs to 26. +10 from the line.

“If you don't wake up the season will end early!”

3/18: #8 seed Baylor, 23-11, in the 2nd round. We beat them by 10 at home. We're better, especially inside, but we need to wake up and play well.

3/19: We score the first 9. Up 8 after 10. 62-53 after a very high scoring first half. They shot 60.7% to our 55.3%. 20 for Ausk, 16 for Pore. Anso commits 3 fouls yet again. I'm speechless and do not even acknowledge his existence in the locker room. He will not start the 2nd half. We start fast in the 2nd. Up 11 with 10 to play.

107-94. This game was all offense. 34, 4, 6 for Ausk, 26, 12 for Pore. We were a little better inside.

3/23: #4 seed, #17 ranked West Virginia, 26-8, in the Sweet Sixteen. They can play. We'll need to be at our best.

3/24: This looks like it will be another shootout. Down 3 after 10 in a very fast paced game. 42-46 at the break. They shot 58.3% to our

37.8%. Both Anso and Pore have 3 fouls which is NOT good. They're playing better inside and we're better outside.

“You'd better decide to play or this is it!”

Down 5 with 10 to play. They go on a run and we're in big trouble.

81-92 and the end of the season. We never slowed their attack, they scored 46 in each half and shot 52.6% to 38.7%.

4/3: We lost to the champs. #17 ranked West Virginia won it all.

4/4: Awards: Fred Anso is a 2nd team All American. In the ACC, Velo Ausk is POY and 1st team along with Anso. Do Pore is Frosh OY and 2nd team. I get COY, which I do not deserve.

4/9: Will I stay? Let's see what happens.

Our TP drops from 89 to 86.

Several very good schools show interest but I'm staying.

4/23: I ask for money.

No.

29-7, #5 ranked. Disappointing post season. For 35 seasons I'm 1088-210, .838.

5/1: #4 preseason. #3 recruiting class.

I'm spending more and more time watching boxers train. I find it fascinating.

5/29: Rash Wole, a guard, transfers out. He would not have played much. We need a big man.

Round 1: We offer to a Center, a B. No.

Round 2: We offer to a PF, a B. Got him and he'll start.

6/25: We'll go to all the camps.

6/26: Only 1 scholarship. We'll take the best player we can get.

Lots of exhibition boxing matches with oversized gloves and head gear. Interesting.

Oh, the Council unanimously said no to all of those other “sports” that take place in a ring but are nothing but insane levels of violence and very litle skill.

7/15: An evening of boxing. 3 bouts. The robotic referee and judges did well. No knockouts and the decisions all seemed fair.

8/7: PG Ted Holl is #4 on the Norton list.

8/21: We offer to a C, #4 ranked recruit.

There are 123 men and women who have registered as boxers. On the men's side most are welterweights, middleweights and light heavyweights. Fighters in other weight divisions are having trouble finding opponents.

On the women's side it's featherweights and lightweights, for the most part.

2nd night of bouts tonight. 2 women's and 2 men's. All 4 were good fights. The decisions seemed fair to me.

9/18: We got our recruit!

Going to the Coaches Classic vs. Fresno ST. Challenging schedule!

10/2: 1st day of practice. Going with a 3 guard lineup again.

10/15: The probe ahead of us is detecting something that looks like a ship

11/11: Here's the lineup:

Frosh Ted Holl is at the point. He looks like aq genuine super star.

Senior Miah Boon, is at SG. He may be the weak link.

Junior Velo Ausk starts at SF. He's a guard starting at forward but he can make it work.

#4 guard, junior Jon Reva, started last season, and he may wind up starting at SG. Frosh Ray Bish is the next guard and he could get minutes. Frosh Seba
Napo is the last guard; he's not ready.

Another frosh, Ket Toon, is at PF. He looks really good.

Junior Du Moca, a transfer from Gonzaga, is in the middle.

1st big man off the bench is junior Jeff Wats. He mostly played this role both last year and the year before. Soph Rui Leti comes next; if he played better D he would start. Junior Pat Hino and frosh Chad Hais will only play in garbage time and if there are injuries.

The probe says it's a ship sending out a distress call. We're headed that way at max speed but it will be awhile.

11/12: We're the #3 seed in the Coaches Classic. We open tomorrow against #14 Fresno ST. We think we're a lot better.

11/13: They take a quick lead. It takes some time but we catch up. Up 5 after 10. A big late run puts us up 47-30 at the half. Our back court and our bench are leading the way, but +26 in the paint doesn't hurt! Up 18 with 10 left.

76-52. Very good D; we held them to 29.1%. 17, 8, 6, 3 for PG Ted Holl. Good play all around. +38 in the paint.

We are only a couple days away from the ship. We have been communicating and they are in trouble. It will be a near thing as to whether or not we get there before their oxygen runs out. We are going at max speed.

11/14: #11 seed Ark-Little Rock upset #6, so they're next. It was the only upset in the first round. This is not a team we should lose to.

11/15: Up 11 after 10. 44-27 at halftime. Holl leads us with 9, 4, 5, 3. +16 in the paint and 3 TOs. Up 24 with 10 to play.

93-57. This was a rout. A triple double for Holl, 11, 10, 12, 3, 4 blocks. 23 for SG Miah Boon, 17, 8 for C Du Moca. +28 in the paint.

We are at the ship, getting their people into our shuttles. We have either human or robotic medical personnel on every shuttle. It is clear that some of those being rescued are in severe distress. It's too soon to know whether there have been fatalities. There are at least 200 to be rescued, perhaps more.

11/16: #2 seed, #15 ranked Cincinnati is next in the semifinal. They have 3 players banged up but all will play. They are very strong outside and have a talented Center. We are a big favorite but this will be our first real test.

11/17: We take the lead. Up 12 after 10. They come back. 44-46 at halftime. Our D fell apart midway through the 1st half. They're shooting 53.3% to 46.2%. Their SF has 14. We go on a big run to start the 2nd. Up 19 with 10 to go.

101-80 on a BIG 2nd half. All 5 starters have 12 or more. 20, 10, 3 blocks for PF Ket Toon, 22, 4, 6 for Holl, 15, 8, 5, 3 for Moca. Great win!

Rescue operations are complete. 287 are now on board. 7 died before they could be rescued. These people call themselves the Bai. They are pretty much exactly like us. We are getting to know them. We and they will decide if they will become part of our crew or if we should try to repair their ship or build them a new one.

11/18: We face #1 seed, #2 ranked Arizona in the title game. They are favored. They're very strong, especially inside.

11/19: We take a lead fairly quickly. Up 8 after 10. 43-36 at halftime. 11 for Moca. Both of our starting guards have 3 fouls. We go on a big run. Up 25 with 10 to play.

90-66 and the title. 18, 11 for Toon, 13 each for Moca and Boon, 12, 3, 5 for Holl. Fouls were a big problem but our bench covered well. +14 in the paint.

11/20: We're ranked #1. Our only recruit signs.
