A terrible night at #13 Michigan, 38 (!)-63. We shot 17.5%, 11.1% on threes. -17 rebounds. We are simply not ready to play ranked teams.
We did well against Tennessee but tonight was very embarrassing.

96-76 at Columbia in our last pre-conference game. We led all the way. 19, 5, 8, 4 for Webb, 16, 3 for Qual, 10, 2, 9 for Hart, 18 for Wink. Dominance inside.

We are 12-2, #22, NET #10, which is far too high!

+14 PPG, +7.5 rebounds, -5.4 turnovers but too many at 13.8.

Qual leads us with 14.4. Pefo gets 7.4 rebounds, Gard 7.3. 6.8 assists for Hart. 2.9 steals for Webb. 2.4 blocks for Gard.

88-68 win with Robert Morris there. 29, 4 for Qual, 14, 8, 7, 3 for Pefo, 17, 1, 4 for Webb. Once again we controlled the inside.

64-48 with Air Force here. Great defense. 16, 14, 6 blocks for Gard, 11, 1, 10 for hart. +17 rebounds, 11 turnovers.

85-56 over MD-Balt. County here. Up only 6 at the half, but 45-22 in the second. 16, 11 for Pefo, , 8, 15, 4 blocks for Gard, 15, 3 for Webb. We controlled the inside.

We're 16-2, 4-0, #16, NET #11.

2/3: U. S. severs diplomatic relations with Germany.

2/5: 87-57 at Cleveland ST. Another easy win. 15, 11 for Qual, 20, 4 for Pefo, 16, 6, 3 blocks for Gard. We were in control inside.

90-77 over NC-Central here. It was close for 27 minutes or so. 20, 6 for Pefo, good guard play, 9 turnovers, +22 in the paint.

91-67 at Alcorn ST. We were up 1 at halftime. 50-27 in the second. 24, 3, 6, 3 for Webb. +20 rebounds. 94-69 over Army here in New Britain.

2/13: Mata Hari arrested as a spy.

2/19: 89-60 at Tennessee ST. This one was over early. 20, 3, 8 for Hart. 8 turnovers and we controlled the inside.

Ike Gard is #27 on the Norton list.

77-60 over Tennessee Tech here. Up 21 at the half. 24, 7 for Pefo, 14, 13 for gard. +30 down low, 10 turnovers.

A real battle at Lafayette, 80-78. We never led by more than 8 or trailed by more than 7. It was tied at 72 with 2:50 left. We then scored 8 in a row and they scored the last 6, missing a three at the very end.

17, 5, 3, 5 for Webb, 13, 9 for Topp. +14 in the paint, +7 on 2nd chances. We won it inside.

A real blowout, 88-49 over Long Island here. 55-15 at the half. 18, 3, 6 for Webb. +26 in the paint.

24-2, 12-0, 2 game lead over Dartmouth, with 4 to play, and we're there next. #10, NET #11.

3/5: 82-62 at 2nd place Dartmouth. It was close for about 25 minutes, then we went on a run. 13, 4, 5, 6 for Webb. +16 inside.

Woodrow Wilson inaugurated for a second term. War is imminent.

70-58 over South Florida here in one of our closer games. We led by 21 at the half though, and they never seriously threatened us.

20, 4, 2, 3, 3 blocks for Gard, 15, 5, 2, 3 for Webb.

86-74 in another fairly close win over Robert Morris here. We led by only 3 at halftime, and did not break it open until late. 23, 8 for Qual. We won it with strong inside play.

71-59 at Air Force to end the regular season. They kept it fairly close throughout. 23, 8 for Gard. +14 in the paint, 9 fewer turnovers.

28-2, 16-0 in conference and we win Conf. R by 5 games. We will probably jump to N or O next season. Ranked #9, NET #10, which is too high, given our schedule.

+17 PPG, #2 in points. +9.7 rebounds, -5.6 turnovers but 13.2 is too many!

13.9 points for Qual, 12.4 for Webb, 12.2 for Gard, 11.2 for Pefo. 7.9 rebounds for Gard. An impressive 6.9 assists for Hart.

Lucy is definitely showing but as was true last time, she is feeling good and has had no problems. The baby is still expected at the end of April or in early May.

3/6: We play #8 seed MD-Balt County, 17-12, 8-8, in the quarter finals. We won by 29 at our place. We are a much better team.

Game time: We take the lead quickly. 43-23 at the half.

77-56. 17, 8 for Pefo, 17, 5 for Qual. +30 in the paint.

3/7: #5 seed Lafayette, 17-12, 10-6, in the semifinals. Their first two big men off the bench are out with injuries so depth will be a problem for them. We won by only 2 there. That was not a good night for us. This is a team we should beat. They can score outside but their defense is weak.

Game time: They are putting up a fight early. Then we go on a run. Up 11 after 10. 53-31 at halftime. We are scoring at will and completely controlling the inside. 3 turnovers. We are running away with the game in the second.

88-68. We led by as many as 31. 18, 14, 3 for Pefo, 20, 6 for Qual, 14 each for the starting guards. +17 rebounds, only 11 turnovers.

3/8: We play #3 seed Dartmouth, 19-10, 11-5, for the title. We won by 20 there. We should win if we play even moderately well. I do not want my boys to be too sure of themselves though.

Game time: They start strong and it is close. Then a run puts us up 9 after 10 minutes. Then we go on another run. 49-28 at halftime. We are shooting 57.1%. Up 21 with 10 to play.

88-68, same score as last game! 26, 4 for Webb, 23, 5 for Qual, 15, 7, 3 for Pefo. +22 down low.

Wondering about our seeding. We're Conf. R champs, 31-2, 16-0, #9, NET #8. Can we hope for a #3 or even a #2 seed?

3/12: #4 East. We're disappointed but not shocked. We play #13 Nicholls ST, 20 and 10. We're heavily favored. They are better outside than inside.

3/16: We take the lead right away. Up 12 after 10. 50-27 at the half. We're shooting 57.1%. But our PG, Jam Hart, has 3 fouls. We're running away with it in the second.

86-57. 12, 13 for Gard, 16, 3, 3 for Graw. +26 down low.

3/17: We play #5 seed, #19 ranked Marquette, 21-10. They are favored by a half point. It will be their outside versus our inside.

3/18: Close early on. Down 7 after 10. They're tough! 37-36 after a war in the first half. +18 in the paint. Pefo has 3 fouls. -8 from the foul line. Up 8 with 10 to play.

82-70 and we are in the round of 16! 15, 5, 6, 4 for Webb. +20 inside, 10 fewer turnovers.
