12/18: 73-63 at Dixie ST. We were down 2 at the half. 17, 2, 5, 3 for Hart, who has really improved this season. 18, 5 for Mina. +14 down low and only 9 turnovers.

Drew Weal: I guess I shouldn't complain, but I've always wanted to start and I'm only the 6th man. That's frustrating.

101-81 over Drexel in our 2nd home game. Once again we started fast and were never threatened and the crowd loved it. 18, 4, 6, 3 for
Wink, 17, 4, 5 for Hart, 18, 8, 3 for Mina, 17, 7 for Beck.

71-60 at Idaho ST. They stayed close for a very long time. 19, 7 for Weal, 16, 4, 3 for Webb.

80-63 at Navy. We were only up by 3 at the half. Then we put on an offensive show in the 2nd half. 20, 9, 3, 3 blocks for Mina, 16, 9 for beck, 14, 5, 5, 3 for Webb.

Kent Webb: Okay, back to back good games. Hopefully that is a sign of things to come.

2/5: 77-58 at Lamar. A breeze. 17, 8, 7, 4 for Webb, 16, 9, 6 blocks for Beck. Huge advantage inside.

92-62 win against ST Francis, PA here. 57 first half points. 18, 4, 7 for Wink, 18, 0, 3, 3 for Hart. +28 in the paint, only 3 turnovers.

71-54 at Scared Heat. 46-18 at the half. 16, 9 for Beck, 12, 7 for Mina. We overwhelmed them inside.

81-63 at Campbell. Only up 3 at the half but great defense in the second. 16, 10, 2, 3 for Mina, 16, 1, 3, 5 for Wink, 19, 3 for Weal. In control inside again.

We're ranked! #25. Alone in first in Cinf. V.

We will likely skip a few conferences next season, moving from V not to U, but possibly as high as S, or even R.

Lucy and I purchase a device that plays musical recordings. The quality is not great, and it was expensive, but we can hear Caruso in our own home, as well as listening to the popular songs of the day and the old songs. It is quite wonderful! Billy Murray's “Pretty Baby” is one of the delightful tunes we have purchased. We have several of Caruso's recordings.

Our first loss in conference, 63-64, at Hartford. It was close throughout. They had the final possession and they scored on a 16 footer off a double screen. 15, 11 for Mina, 15, 3, 3 for Webb. We had the advantage inside but they shot 48% to our 39.3%, and had 9 threes to our 2.

3/6: We play #8 seed ST Francis, PA, 13-15, 8-8, in the quarter finals. We beat them by 30 at home. This is a team we should have no trouble with.

Game time: We take the lead right away. Up 15 after 10. 53-35 at the half. 16 for Beck, 9 for Hart. 3 turnovers. We expand the lead in the second half. Up 20 with 10 to go.

90-78 but it was not that close. 16, 9, 3, 3 blocks for Beck, 21, 4 for Mina, 12, 4, 6, 3 for Hart. 5 turnovers, +14 inside.

3/7: We face #4 seed Monmouth, 15-13, 11-5, in the semifinals. We think we are much better inside, and their defense is weak.

Game time: It is close early. Down 1 after 10. 35-39 at the half. We are not playing well. 3 fouls for Beck. No one is scoring very much. They are shooting 55.2%. We need to play better and to be more aggressive on defense. We take the lead quickly in the second. Up 10 with 10 to play.

77-74. PG Jam Hart made a three in the final second for the win. We were a bit lucky.

18, 8 for Mina. We played better defense in the second, but we were barely good enough.

Greg Mina hurt his hand and will not start the title game. Drew Weal will start.

3/8: We play #2 seed Northern Arizona, 19-10, 13-3, in the title game. We feel we are better inside but with Mina limited this will be challenging.

Game time: Big early lead. Up 12 after 10. 49-36 at the half. 12 each for our starting guards. 2 turnovers. Up 19 with 10 to go.

95-74 and the Conf. V title! 20, 1, 5, 3 for Hart, 18, 0, 7 for Wink, 17, 4 for Weal. Only 9 turnovers.

Mina is back.

3/12: #6 Midwest. We play #11 Ball ST, 21-8. We're only a slight favorite. This could be a tough first round game!

3/16: We take an early lead. Up 7 after 10. 49-30 at the half. We are scoring at will. Only 1 turnover! Up 15 with 10 left.

95-74. We were never challenged, which surprised me. 19, 1, 5 for Hart. 5 others had 10 or more. 4 turnovers and strong inside play.
