2024 St. Johns Red Storm - 35-4 Final Four



- Tough way to end the season. #1 vs #2 in the Final Four and we came up just a little short.
- We shot 22% from 3 in the game vs Texas, it cost us a championship.
- This was truly the first team that was all my recruits. It was a special year.
- We lose a superstar, and we will find out if we can find the scoring next season.
- We should be loaded, we got a lot of talent.
- It's really hard to win a title, we won two in a row and felt like we'd win forever.

- 12 Oakland upset 5 Butler
- 15 Bucknell upset 2 Pittsburgh
- 11 Minnesota upset 6 Tennessee, Eventually making it to the Elite 8
- 14 Eastern Illinois upset 3 Florida State

Moving Forward:

- We played with one big all year, we had our best defensive team yet and rebounded fine.
- Our pace fell off a tad, not scoring 100 as often. Maybe because we pulled away early in games.
- We have a great team coming back, but if the right job is open. It may be time for a fresh start.
- Done for the night, tough way to end this season.

November/December Update:



Notes:
- Things started rough.
- We tweaked things around after the bad loss against Harvard and thought we had it fixed. Then two more losses, and things had to be more drastic.
- We still play 10-11, but the minutes are less 60/40, closer to 80/20 with the starters.
- Our defense is still solid, but we are really struggling to find consistent scoring.
- Big East is brutal once again, lets see if we can find our way through Conference play.

January/February Update



Notes:
- Big turn a around, and salvaged the season. Finished 3rd in the Big East Regular Season.
- Huge Wins over Uconn, Butler, Georgetown, and Villanova.
- Every loss has been to Top 25 teams.
- We kept with the system, but it showed that we need to be more efficient at guards(Hopefully this next class solves that)

- It's weird to be proud playing a video game, but kind of proud about this one. It started rough, but we now sit in decent position for the tournament.

2025 St. Johns Red Storm - 24-11 Final Four



- What a ride.
- We got destroyed in the Big East Tournament, then we found some fire.
- Made it to the Final Four, Avenging the loss to Xavier, then defeating Villanova and #2 Alabama.
- Louisville had more fire, and knocked us off. But the Final Four, incredible.

- St. Johns, #7 Seed to the Final Four
- 12 Dayton defeated 5 Iowa
- 15 Denver defeated 2 Tennessee, and VCU. Making it to the Sweet 16

- We know we need to focus on more complete scorers. Probably went too heavy on straight shooters.
- Press is working, and our half court changes have worked
- Going to look at jobs this go around. Maybe a new challenge.

November/December Update:





Notes:
- We moved on from St. Johns to try this with a higher level program. First choice was Ohio State, not as much immediate success but they passed on me. Tennessee had one great season but marginal at best everywhere else.
- Believe we're ahead of schedule, still not comfortable in the press and scoring has been shaky.
- I don't know if we're a good team or not. We beat Purdue and Tulsa, but didn't play well against WVU or Memphis. Our defense is solid, but scoring is not a strong suit

2026 Tennessee Volunteers - 25-8 - 1st Round NCAA Tournament



- Well, that was a disaster of a March.
- Really thought we had a good draw in our brackets but wasn't expecting the 2/15 upset.
- Onto next year.

- Solid start, still Top 10.
- Wished to see a better performance against Georgetown

2027 Tennessee Volunteers - 30-8 National Champions



- Wow, what a ride.
- Really thought we were headed for another disaster after getting picked off by Missouri
- Then I thought we had a bad draw. We had UNC, Kansas, Purdue, Louisville, and Duke in our bracket.
- Then upsets started coming along, and we got some great draws.
- Not to mention in the other bracket, 13 Belmont made an improbable run to the final four, who we would meet.

- Lastly, we had a 90% chance to LOSE against a stacked Texas team. They only played 7 guys, but they were all studs. They play a slow style of offense with a 2-3 zone. It's a perfect match up for us with unathletic guards(While being really good players).
- We had a 6 point lead with 2 minutes left, and nearly blew it. Scored the final 2 to win it with 5 seconds left to win the Natty.

Phoenix Region was wild
13 Belmont over 4 VCU, 5 UCONN, 9 Tulsa, 11 Oral Roberts to go to the Final Four
11 Oral Roberts over 6 Arizona, then good draws to make it to the Elite 8
14 Illinois Chicago over 3 Utah
