3/16: We fall way behind early. Down 13 after 10. 36-45 at the half. No idea what’s going on. Shooting 36.4% to their 60%.

We catch them early. Up 3 with 10 to play. Then we take off.

Wilk has a slight concussion.

#6 seed McNeese ST, 30-3, in the 2nd round.

3/18: Slow start for both teams. Down 8 after 10. We come back. 46-38 at the break. 11, 3 for Kell, 12 for John. Good inside play.

Up 11 with 10 left.

86-76. 20, 9 for Pepp, 17, 3 for John, 15, 3 for Kell.

3/23: We trail early again. Down 13 after 10. 42-57 at halftime. They shot 58.8%. Not good.

Still down early. Down by 11 with 10 to go. Not happening tonight.

82-106. An embarrassing defeat.

4/3: #1 Marquette beats New Orleans by 2 for the title.

4/4: Awards: Ron Pepp makes the ACC 1st team, Lou Kell makes 2nd. I am Conf. COY.

4/9: Not looking to move but who knows.

Staying.

4/23: I ask for a facilities upgrade.

No.

27-6, Sweet 16. For 4 years I’m 130-14, .903.

5/1: #28 recruiting class.

We exceed our expected to spend amount.

5/29: No one transfers out.

5/25: We’ll go to the Indy and all the regional camps.

6/26: 4 scholarships. We want 2 and 2.

7/11: I offer to 2 PGs and 2 PFs.

9/11: We get a PF, #47. We lose a PG.

9/18: We get one, lose two. We get a PG, #63.

Going to the Palmetto Shootout.

9/25: We get the other 2, a PF, #52, and an SG, #71.

10/2: First day of practice. I think this is going to be a pretty good team.

11/13: Here’s the lineup:

Juco junior Rash Henn is at PG. He has looked really good in practice.

Senior Doug Evan is back at SG.

#3 guard is returning senior Dan Fell, who is good enough to start. #4 is frosh Brad Selt, who has lots of potential. Redshirt Frosh Al Lopa is destined for the end of the bench.

Frosh Stu Gerr starts at SF but may not handle the ball well enough to stay there. We’ll see.

Junior Ron Pepp is back at PF and is one of our 2 best players.

Senior Lou Kell, at C, is the other one.1st big man off the bench is senior Heck Wilk, who played well last year. 2nd is frosh Jay Marr who does most things well and could move up in the rotation. Frosh
Kent Cale has potential but he’s not ready.

We start tomorrow with Georgetown here.

I am ending this association. I find I’ve been going through the motions and not really giving it what it deserves. I had intended to write something with a lot of backstory. Didn’t happen. I’m going to try again with Greatest II
