9/11: We get one, lose one. We get the C, #60.
9/18: We get 2, lose one. We get a PF, #28, and a PG, #44. We offer to a PF.
Going to the preseason NIT. Very challenging schedule.
9/25: We get the PF, #30.
10/2: 1st day of practice. Again this year we’re good but I’m not sure how good.
11/13: We start tomorrow at the NIT vs. #14 seed Buffalo. We’re the #3 seed.
Here’s our unsettled lineup:
Frosh Jeff Hawk starts at PG. He’s a terrific passer. He’ll share time about equally with senior Kea Toms.
Junior Ike Walk is back at SG. He was a big scorer for us last year. He’ll also play some SF. He’ll share time with junior Dan Ando, a transfer from Alabama where he was a two year starter.
Soph Ed Rule is our 5th guard, and he’s not bad.
Senior Jem Moye is at SF. He does a lot of things very well.
Junior Ken Wall, a transfer from Ga. Tech, is at PF. He’s a good rebounder.
Senior Jero Wane is back at C. Solid all around player.
1st big man off the bench is frosh Lew King, he’s not quite ready to start but he’s good and getting better. Senior Stu Aers started at Ga. Tech for the last 3 years. He wants minutes but he’s going to need to improve his D to get them. Frosh Carl Jeff isn’t ready yet, especially on D.
