Late Game Offense

Late Game Offense

I dont get the two "Late Game Offense" DDLBs, ie "Winning" and "losing"; this seems like a band aid on an open sore. I mean what team doesn't pass more when behind and run more when ahead late in games? Instead of this clunky feature, (I mean would there EVER be a team that decides "Oh, I'm losing late in the game I'm going to only run from now on..."), why not design a playbook for late game scenarios that every team uses? Most teams in the NFL arguably share the same kind of plays; sideline routes, and short passes that allow for a lot of run after the catch (ie so receivers can run and get out of bounds). This is the kind of thing we need to be focused on to correct this game's longstanding and GLARING late game logic issues. This is also REALLY calls for update to player logic, which is probably a very hard, painstaking fix but absolutely necessary; player's behave differently, as they are running for the sidelines and first down.

The problem is that the AI does override game plans to make things more realistic and we constantly get complains on both sides... either the AI doesn't do enough, or the AI does too much and people don't want the AI overriding their game plans. So we continue to provide options so people can set it up however they want. The new fields give added strength to that concept, either way.

Will look at updating logic to get more throws to sidelines in the future.

I don't want the AI to do anything. I want to have complete control of my gameplan :) Anything that affects my ability to game plan, affects my ability to implement a strategy, and reduces strategic variations.

Please pay very close attention to the final play of the game or the half. It should either be a passing play that's incomplete about 95% of the time (a hail Mary) or a field goal attempt. Also I'd like to see teams be a little more efficient on setting up game winning field goals.

Brooks Im seeing definite improvement on this topic, talking about passes to the outside/sidelines.

Specifically, however, I am not seeing Hail Mary's - are they a part of the game?
Can we pls implement this as a play in the playbook?

The AI does target down field for first downs, but there isn't a "hail mary" type of play that is attempted at the end of halves. We'd have to look at that in a future version, probably when we look at targeting sidelines, etc.

Im really surprised this hasnt been included STILL! Hail Mary is so vital to the game! A quarter of the myth of Aaron Rodgers wouldnt even exist without this play!
