Players to Coaches?

Used to play Madden a lot and the coaching pool always came from retired players. I didn't necessarily like all the coaching candidates being ex-players, but maybe a random percentage of the retired players going into coaching every year would be cool. Help with the immersion anyhow. Not sure how easy to implement.
