Draft Salaries

Draft Salaries

Postby Cleasby » Wed Aug 07, 2019 4:15 pm

I have set the minimum draft salary to 800k and max to 11m but the salaries for the draft still go below the minimum value and do not every hit the max, often being 4m below the max. Also noticed that guys drafted lower than others can receieve more salary. For example a guy in one 2nd round draft got 680k despite min of 800k for the draft and a guy in the 6th round got 800k.

Grateful if this can be looked at. If you need the league file just shout.

I think those settings are for the draft that happens every year and not for the "fantasy draft" at the beginning of the game.

Correct, seed draft works different to try and set up teams with semi-realistic salaries. As far as I know the preseason draft is slotted, meaning they generally start at the top and each pick gets slightly less for the most part.

Yes it's the college draft for confusion. And the salaries are not scaled downward consistently. That's the issue I have noticed.

Some of the contracts are back loaded. And right now the top draft player will get around 70-80% of the draft max at the top end. We could bump this up to 100%... I think we had it set that way before we added draft max as an option so that draft picks would never max a full max.

For now you can just add 20% or so to your draft max value.
