Having my assistant coaches call plays and use the formation

Hi all,

I feel like my defensive coordinator isn't calling the plays for the preferred 3-4 formation that he is supposed to use. When I click to the checkbox to "Auto Playcall" it keeps putting my Head Coaches playbook in there and not sure if he's using that instead. My head coach likes the 4-3 and 5-2 defenses, but my team is built for the 3-4 and want to use that.

Is this a bug? Am i doing something wrong? I have the strategy setup correctly. Under playbook i've set it to my defensive coord as well as formation, etc.

I might have to just call my own plays. The playcalling is kinda atrocious. 3rd and 13 and my team is down (playing with Browns) in 4th quarter by 2 touchdowns, and he calls a run play. I've noticed this a few times. Some head scratching playcalling. Maybe it's cause my assistant coaches aren't good? I don't know.

Also during the game, how do you change the depth chart or who's in the game? I am in preseason and I'm trying to pull out my starters in the 2nd half, but I can't. The CPU does though. How do you do it?

The AI changes out players automatically based on your packages and settings. You can't change that during a play game session.

The DCoordinator should be calling the plays... the game goes in to find what play the AI would have called and uses that. But I'll take another look at it and make sure that's what's happening.

You can take a package and rename it 'reserves' and fill it with your second and third string guys. Then you can select that when you call plays.
