sudden death means first one to score wins... modified sudden death means if the opening team scores a field goal the opposite team has one possession to tie or win

Which option is the one the NFL is currently using in this game?
and also which one for the Regular season?

Can the option be changed after a season has started?

For regular season, I believe it is One Extra Quarter since none of the other options make sense since TIES can happen. Not sure why the game doesn't use Modified Sudden Death (Ties) to be consistent with Playoff naming.

For Playoffs, its Modified Sudden Death(No Ties)
