Does a player's OVR rating affect how much money they will sign for?

I've been playing with custom ratings, and finally got it tuned close to how I rate players... But now they seem to want ridiculous amounts of money, even the third string guys. Third string guys are rated low-mid 70s with the default ratings, and mid to upper 80s with my custom ratings.

Is it possible to tell us all the factors that go into a player's contract asking price? I know you want to keep some things hidden, so if not it's cool, I'd just like to know. But at least let me know if their OVR affects what contract money they want. Thanks!

Player rating affects which band of salaries to use from the salary screen in league config. It also affects how much of the max they're shooting for.... guys with really high OVR's will ask closer to the max, and even 85's can still ask for 50-60% of max. Playing time, high individual attributes, and age also affect whether players ask for more on top of their band.
