Can someone explain these settings to me. I don't mind messing around with things, but I'm afraid to make changes and test, I'd rather just have someone explain this to me.

Thanks!!!

Can we PLEASE get some better documentation for the advanced features like this in the game so we dont have to keep having the same round of questions every year?? It's very frustrating...like this guy poses a great question and I dont remember myseslf and Id love to have a normal rule book I could quickly reference instead of "Oh yah I think taht was posted back on 07/16/2016 forum.."

Basically they increase yardages of runs and passes. So if you want historical runs where they average 2-3 ypc you can turn runs down. Or turn passes down if you want an era where 4k passers were rare.

The other reason they're there is people sometimes import their own players (or are carrying on players from previous versions) with drastically different ratings than the engine can accommodate. These sliders are there so you can offset accordingly.

Thanks Brooks. I thought maybe that was it, but I didn't want to mess with it without more concrete knowledge. I'm glad I left it alone :)

Does increasing the Passing number increase Y/A or Y/Comp, or does it increase the amt of passes called, or some other factor specificaly?

Pretty much just yards. Playcalling is affected by other settings.

Okay Brooks but you still didn't quite answer my question..I'm pretty sure you mean it increases yards/completion, yes? Bc saying "more yards" can mean a lot of things...more passing plays called means more yards for instance as well...

Basically it affects the relative speed of the offensive player with the ball... speed up ball carrier = more yards, slow down ball carrier = less yards.
