Has anyone figured out if there is a way to export a coaches playbook? I'd like to add just a few plays instead of having to generate a how system.

This would be fantastic - making playbooks in this game has always been a pain. Would be great if we had access to the game-generated playbooks based on the Gameplan and Coaching style so we could-
1) prepare with them before games (for instance, map out "FIRST TWENTY PLAYS" - this is a huge thing done in the NFL as we all know since the days of Bill Walsh).
2) Modify these premade books rather than creating from scratch

Bump-Brooks, anything on this? I would like more information about the coaches playbook in general, as much as we can get.
I would still love to be able to generate a playbook based on a coach's playbook, then work from there. THis is a quick way to get a playbook pre-stuffed with a lot of plays, and ratios presumably, making it much easier to work with than a blank slate every time I make one, esp when you are like me and creating every team in your league from scratch, these playbooks can take a loong time to make.
Can you go into why certain plays are chosen? From what I've seen, I am not thinking tjese coach's playbooks are created based around the offensive disciplines associated with the coaches. Every coach's playbook that I've examined consisted of plays from all the available formations. A supposed "West Coast" coach's playbook isnt looking much dxifferent than a "Power" football coach's. I would love to see the ratios they are assigning, and why certain ratios were assigned. I don't honestly know enough about the specifics of calling a pro offensive football game/realistic playcalling to feel very confident about assinging ratios and really any of it. I would like some help in this regard a lot, most of the time it winds up feeling really arbitrary as I just start losing my patience and just assigning ratios and really plays at random. I don't have an identity, but I'd like to develop one, preferably multiple identities which will then greatly help me in designing differnent playbooks to different teams based on how I would like them or imagine they would be run according to my overall design/intention for them. I feel like seeing the coach's playbook ratios would help educate me on how it should look.
Can you also double check what else Im saying, make sure the game really is creating playbooks specific to the listed coach's tendencies/philosophy? I guess I could be wrong, but to me it seems like teams woulnd't run every formation. I could be wrong, but to me the idea of a team who likes, say, pro-set vs IForm makes sense, as opposed to everyone just sort of making a grab-all playbook.
This is even more truem my limited knowledge of playcalling tells me, for the defensive side of things. Dont most teams run either the 4-3 or the 3-4 not both usually? Play analysis shows defenses calling every formation under the sun changing constantly with no discernable main tendency, again despite the coach's described philosophy. So either I need an education or the game needs a lot of updating to be more specific and discerning in creating its playbooks. I am anxious to find out what it really is, and learn more about football and running team offenses and defenses in a more realistic way. Right now, as I'm writing this, I'm realizing I have felt like i dont really know what im doing or have proper direction calling plays and im just all over the place like a Pee Wee coach, and I don't like that bc it def detracts from the feel that this is being run like a real football program/game. This isnt madden after all.

We're looking at enhancing this in the college game. Depending on how we tweak things we may be able to patch it in to DDSPF20, but otherwise it will have to be in a future version.

1) So does this mean we might be able to see the weight used by the auto-generated Coaches' playbooks?

2) Can you help clear up some of my quetions revolving around the general realistic strategy of football play-calling? For instance, what about defenses sticking more to a 4-3 or a 3-4, rather than just changing it all up virtually every play? From studying the play analysis, defenses in this game are changing formations as often as an offense does. I;m almost certain that is not how defenses are called in the NFL? Or at least, isnt it not the norm? '
Don't defenses in the NFL tend to stick to, in general, either a 4-3 or 3-4 philosophy? Im pretty sure it was done this way in the pazt at least - teams would reolve the whole team around which of these defensive philsophies their coach(es) like to use`, down to drafting particular types of players based on which defense you ran (for example, a team in the offseason decides to change their defensive base to become a base 3-4 set. Therefore, in the draft they draft some faster LBs who can even drop into cover a little effectively bc in a 3-4 there are more LBs pn the field than w a 4-3 defense, and sometimes these LBs wll be asked to go into pass coverage(something likely never asked of a big bulky DE in a 4-3 defense). 4-3's are more likely to have bigger guys on the outside who may not be as versatile or fast as an outside linebacker, but he has more strength. In a 4-3 the outside guys, DEs are bigger and stronger bc they are going to be fighting all play every play with large offensive lineman, trying to overpower them with bull rushes and the like

3) Then again, to this last point, what about Coaches seeming to, desspite being labeled "West Coast", seem to generate the same playbook as a coach with "Power" as its focus? Additionally, I would expect to see a lot of short passes in the West Coast-coach generated playbook. but I'm missing that if it's there. Also, this kinda thing again goes along with my queries about proper play weighting; maybe, for instance, the West Coast playbook may not have a lot of different shorter passing play, instead applying an appropariately high weight level with a small number of different plays, which would still result in appropriate West Coast themed offensive playcalling strategy.

Yea, right now the playbooks get generated by coach attributes. But we can certainly look at expanding on this in a future version so the coaches stick to primary formations based on personnel.
