Scouting your opponent

Is there any way to scout other than watching a game? Unfortunately, the 2D is off in several ways and even watching games it's really hard to get an idea of what a team's actual strengths and weaknesses are.

We can't go in and look at other team's play analysis, so we can't actually analyze any data. The 2D has several issues, the biggest being the play starts immediately so you can't even get a chance to see what players are playing what position, where they are going in a play, etc. There's also no real detail... a player breaks a tackle, you can't tell. A player goes into a pile, you can't tell anything. When a play starts, players are already in motion, so you can't really even see where players were positioned and where they moved to...

I'd love to get advice from others as to how, in multiplayer, you scout your opponents. Thanks in advance!

ingame, if you click on boxscore for one of their games, you can click game analysis for that game and see the plays they run. I know some in MP copy these out and into excel for analysis.

You also get an email with their tendencies.

Lastly I think a lot of MP look at their rosters in combination with the email.

This is probably the best way to truly scout your opponent to get a feel for what they run and how successful it is against different defensive formations.
