Previous Coaches in Staff Signing Stage

I had a question and wanted to see if it was a design choice or an error on my end. Coaches that were fired or not re-signed don't appear in the available coaches pool, it is always more generated coaches. Is there a specific reason for this? League immersion breaks a bit when these coaches disappear from the game.

Coaches with good reputation are kept in the file. They will appear in the options for the teams they are interested in signing with if they are unemployed. If they go unsigned for several seasons they will retire. Coaches with low reputation (i.e. they were only in the league few seasons and didnt accomplish much) will get flushed fairly quickly to keep the file size sanatized.

So in theory, editing the reputation for coaches would help keep them available in the pool. But the odds would still be off due to their varying interests in teams with open positions.

yes, increasing reputation will keep them in the pool. The teams they are available to will vary from year to year and it doesnt have to be teams with open coaching spots, since they can always fire to make room. Also note that age is a factor as well in retirement of course.

Okay, that's solid planning then. The problem I am encountering now is that editing reputation does not function. I can edit coach names, ages, years experienced, and all the ratings but when I edit the reputation, it never saves. Sorry, I know this is a small issue, but I edit all the coaches to real-life coaches and I'd like to keep them around in the league instead of continuously re-creating them with new fictional coaches. Thank you for your help in this.

Fixed it so it saves reputation. Cant promise it will make it into a patch soon, since we are already gearing up for the dev cycle for 2021.
