QUESTION -

Part question, part Feature Request -

Brooks, do you foresee a day, or is it a goal of yours, even in the sense of years, where this game would have a realistic chance at featuring actual 3D(or even 2D - wow just thought of this - imagine PFS football with tecmo bowl style graphics - now THAT would be awesome) sprites/graphical players as opposed to 22 moving circles during a game?
And forget Madden-level, 2020-era cutting edge graphics, but merely basic, say "Minecraft"-level primitive graphics?
'
Now THAT would make this a "perfect" game!!

I apologize if this is in the wrong place. IS there a separate area for Feature requests in the forum? I thought there might be but could not find any such place.

Brooks, I was going to send this to you as a reply to your recent PM to me, until it occurred to me others might like to hear this information, one way or another.

I know some developers of PC sim football games are old school celebrators of text-based, and so can you tell definitively they have no plans and cannot ever imagine, even if they did have the time and money, their game featuring graphics such as sprite-players during a football match.
Are you from this field of thought? I doubt it but you never know.

If it is too costly to be able to realistically think this is possible for this game based on the limits or your resources, isnt it possible to do something like buy the rights to some old, "dead" pc football games and incorporate their graphical engines, or use them as a foundation, a launch pad from which to develop your own style of grfx? Would you possibly do something like this, if the time and money required to develop massively more sophisticated graphical engines from scratch are so great as to be prohibitive for such an endeavor?

I'm excited for this response!

Not currently on the list. I only have limited knowledge of 3d animations and it would probably require us to move to a new engine to enable. We'd probably have to grow to a point where we could hire more people with that specific skillset. Purchasing other IP is going to be prohibitively expensive as well.
