Screen Size Bug

Screen Size Bug

Postby sarcasmo » Sun May 17, 2020 11:25 am

Is there a spot where we can report this bug? I've seen several other users with the same issue.

Every time I open the game the size is reset to a size that is too small to display League Leaders (Bottom) and Team News (Right). You have to turn Full Screen mode on and off to reset the game to the proper height & width. Very frustrating. Every time I open the game.

I'm on Win 10 using 2560x1440 resolution in case that helps. My version is up-to-date (Steam edition).

When I launch the game it opens at 1920x1080 unless I click the full screen. I'm not sure why when you're at a higher resolution it would be dropping down to something lower than that.

I would also check your Windows Scaling settings... it may be affecting the available screen resolution calculations.

No luck. Scaling is 100% and I turned off the "Let Windows fix apps so they're not blurry" option. App still opens small (~1260 x 720 or so).

Did you open it up on a smaller monitor and then move it to a larger one?

You may be able to try the following to reset any saved settings (won't affect leagues or data at all)

go to: %localappdata%

Search for Wolverine_Studios and delete that folder, or the folders within (You may see a pro and/or college folder). That is the folder where the user settings are stored for the game. Deleting the files causes them to be rebuilt so it will not affect any of your leagues. In some cases these settings files can be corrupted by windows during a save... deleting them fixes the issue.

Resolution has been the same since I installed the game. Again, I'm not the only one with this issue. Several other in my league have the same issue and I've seen other posts in this forum.

No luck deleting the app data. Thanks.

Do you have dual monitors or a laptop screen with one being 1366x768?

Does the initial page load at full screen and then drop down to 1366x768?

There isn't anything in the code that would be triggering based on 1440p resolutions or 4k resolutions. It all works the same as 1920x1080. Game opens at 1366x768-ish by default, and then immediately resizes up to 1920x1080 and fills the screen.

It also saves the last size and full screen mode so when you open the game again it should remember what you had checked.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. Single monitor setup. Never changes resolution.

Initial screen is the same size. 1-2 second Splash screen fills monitor, but log-on/initial screen is small.

It's will stay full screen of I leave that set, but it's not remembering the screen size when that's unchecked. Keeps reverting back to small size.

It's like the resize to 1080 is not executing for me.

Unfortunately I'm limited on being able to test on various monitors or PC's... I'm curious if the 1440p is messing up the calculations somehow but I have no way to try and recreate it. I do have a 4k display I can try it on, but I don't remember having issues the last time I tested it.
