QB opens up career 3/179

QB opens up career 3/179

Got a kick out of this. I have a backup QB in his 3rd year. His first two years, he started off 0 for 8 in limited time - but I didn't think much of it.

Go into the third year, he goes 0 for 24, getting action at the end of some blowouts. Now I'm starting to get concerned. Inevitably, my starter goes down and Barnes gets the nod, proceeding to go 3 for 147 in 5 starts.

Now a disclaimer, I do edit ratings of some of the guys in the draft to give them more personal story lines. I edited this guys' intelligence down to 41. The next closest active QB in the league is I think like 58. I'm guessing there's an intelligence threshold where the QB just can't operate if you go below - and the game doesn't generate quarterbacks below this intelligence, so the issue doesn't pop up.

Edit: His position skill is 88.

For kicks, I reloaded and messed around with his intelligence to see what that did.

Game 1 at 46 INT: 7/42, 104 yards 0 TD/0 INT
Game 2 at 50 INT: 10/36, 218 yards 3 TD/0 INT
Game 3 at 55 INT: 13/26, 155 yards 1 TD/0 INT

Yea, there are certain factors in the game that trigger limits like this primarily to prevent owners from being able to just put "anyone" at positions. So as certain important ratings get lower the penalties do as well.
