Going for it on 4th Down

Going for it on 4th Down

Postby Fire-Bred » Sun Jun 07, 2020 12:06 pm

So in an online league I am in, everyone has seen an uptick in teams going for it on 4th down in times that they should not have, but never had it happen, so to stop it from happening to me I changed my offensive attitude from Balanced to Conservative since in your guide it clearly states
Attitude
Affects playcalling, a little more likely to go for it on 4th down and onside kicks. Also affects penalties.

Then the very very next game in the 1st quarter on 4th and 6 from my 34 in a game tied at 3-3 my offense ended up staying out and failing on the 4th down attempt. So my question to you is there anything other than offensive attitude that effects your offense staying out on the field on 4th down?

Not really... even with conservative on the 4th down rate isn't 0 in all situations. We left a (small) chance so that coaches would be somewhat unpredictable.
