Ability to manually add retired players to the hall of fame

Could this be considered for the next game release?
In a multiplayer league I would want more control over this.

There is a checkbox already in PF20 to add to HOF.

When I go to the edit screen of a retired player the Hall of Fame button is greyed out. Is there a way to get the button to be checked.
