I hope someone can answer a question for me.

For an online league, where I am essentially the GM, is it necessary to have one hired? If you leave the GM position unfilled, will it have an adverse effect on my team?

As Zootmurphy said. I would also strongly advise you check out an online league they are a great fun and often have a fantastic community. The CSFL has a couple of opening just before the draft in its first off-season check it out
