I must be blind, I can't find the save game tab

You need to open the menu located in the top left of the screen, near the "Back" button. Once you've done that, a drop down menu will appear. You should then see the"Save" button. You can also use the "Save As" option to create a duplicate save under a different name.

Just a quick picture showing it....select the Hamburger button at the top.
