Alright so I got the DDS Pro Basketball 2017 a couple years ago and only started playing it now. There is no forum for the 2017 version so I am posting here. At the end of season meeting my owner said that I could go 15 million over cap for the next season. In free agency I'm trying to sign a power forward but I'm at the salary cap. Ok so I can just go a bit over cap right? Wrong. Its not letting me go a cent over the cap. I checked around and half the league is like at least 20 million over cap. How can I fix this. Am I just not allowed? If so why are everyone else allowed?

Hi There. One thing is the cap....the other is your budget. Probably the owner of the team is not getting you the money you need to sign this player.

For example:
Your expenses are 100m
Salary cap is 130m
Owner budget is 110m

You will only have 10m to sign the player regardless the salary cap, got it?
Because of that it is "sometimes" better to play with big market teams....

I can be wrong but this is the only solution I can figure out.
