The season turned to hell quickly, we went to the lottery guessing game early and we need all the help possible to win it.

The season was something to forge, but Portis has done more than just produce, the man has carried us to 23 wins pretty much.

Here are your league leader in Points, assists and rebounds. Kemba made us pay towards the end of the season or the Knicks.

Here we go, the 2019 NBA Playoffs.

Golden State takes the chip in 5, making it 3 in a row and a perhaps end to this dynasty with Free Agency looming for Cousins, Klay and KD?

The end of the season blues hit us hard, Jordan called me in and gave me a talking to. He was pissed about our record and the Kemba trade, but at the same time praised the trade and contract extension of Portis who I was beyond impressed with last year. He gave me some strict rules for the lottery and I shook my head yessir and no sir as I answered honestly. I was off to Chicago for the draft lottery.

The Lottery was a circus, used to promote the top pick and the worse teams, to us, this was the Finals and this was our chance to prove we were not completely inept at managing a team. Center, Chris Johnson impressed throughout with his attitude and bright colored suit, one to keep a eye on.

The crowd of Chicago cheered for the Bulls, but booed once they realized it was the 3rd pick, We ended up with 5th which threw some plans into the grinder. Off to the board to look.

NBA Draft 2019 Results

Image
Here are the top 15 draft picks, crazy that Leon wasn't the 1st pick, dude looks great.

Starting with our 5th pick, I think we made out on this draft like bandits

Image
Chris Johnson out of New Mexico State is a Center who is a beast inside and a good midrange and free throw shooter with potential to dominate the board on the offensive side, which should help out Bobby Portis for our new frontcourt of the future. He could be the face of this franchise, but looks more suited to being the secondary option to a star who we could find in free agency or through trade.

Image
Jamal Spruel out of Dayton comes into the NBA with the skills of a Kemba Walker, with less passing and a bigger frame as well as being taller. For a 17th pick, Spruel looks like a career Shooting Guard instead of the point as I look to replace Kemba in our backcourt, solid pickup to add there for sure.

Image
Raw SG who was a throwaway second round pick, looks to project to be a D-League guy of a career bench warmer. Cedric won't have a bright future.

Overall, the draft went well, the Knicks should not have been this good to tank their pick into the mid draft range, stunk for me as I pulled the deal off to hopefully get two lottery picks.

Unfortunately this crashed and corrupted, so instead I'll be looking at the start of The Lakers rebuild around 2014-2015 season.
