Trading away a future 1st is scary as a lottery team. How old is Reggie Davis and what's his contract situation like?

Hey Tim. Thank you for the questions. Reggie Davis is 25 years of age and we have him for this year and next at just over 17-mil.

Our GM is young and he had a good team in New York and made the playoffs every year but after two years he was let go.
So, he is not feeling like he will be able to be a GM long term if he does not win now. Only two years with w inning team
and he is let go, so he is feeling gun shy in Washington as the owners want to win now even though he knows that he needs
to build this franchise. If he built it the right way, would he be able to finish his job? That is the question that is on our
GM's mind. He is thinking he needs to make the playoffs to be in Washington long term. we will see what happens.

Here is our next 5-games...…….

16-25 Cleveland 126...16-25 Wash.Wizards 123 Loss......C-John Bailey 31points, SF-Reggie Davis 24points, A.Williams 11 assists, C.Harvey 10boards
16-26 Wizards 109....17-26 Milwaukee 83 Win.......All 5 starters in double figures lead by SG-Clifton Harvey 19points 50% shooting
17-26 Wizards 112.....17-26 Cleveland 98 Win.......PF-David Stockman 27points, SF-Reggie Davis 26points, C-John Bailey 22points
18-26 Wizards 108.....N.Y.Knicks 130 Loss......Axel Williams 22points We were outshot 54.9% to 44.6%
18-27 Wizards 120....24-19 Charlotte 108 Win......Reggie Davis 42points and 10assists, Axel Williams 22points We shot 56% for the win.

We are still 2 games out of a playoff spot. Just when we beat a good team we then lose to a bad team. We have to correct this.

Our next 5 games...……..

19-27 Wizards.....29-15 Dallas......Lose...108-107.....SF-Reggie Davis 20points, SG-Clifton Harvey 20points
30-17 Sacramento....19-28 Wizards...Win...109-93....PF-David Stockman 30points, C-John Bailey 20points...we shot 52.9% to 40%.
25-22 Charlotte.....20-28 Wizards....Lose....112-96.....David Stockman 17points 40.5% shooting hurts
20-29 Wizards.....28-22 San Antonio....Lose...97-88....David Stockman 22points, John Bailey 21points
20-30 Wizards.....34-15 Indiana......Lose 120-113....John Bailey 31points.

We began having problems with PF-Jay Bryant as we continually complained about playing time. We tried to reason with
Jay but he continued to cause some problems. So much so, that my head coach David Weaver came to me about doing something.
So, we shipped him out. We traded him to the Toronto Raptors for PG-Brian Holden. Just about the same price as we sheded
some money, not much, 100K. Jay was the better shooter than what we got in return but with Holden his contract is up
after this year so we will receive about 10-million to use on Free Agents.

At 20-31 we are about 5-games out of a playoff spot. Starting to think about next year than trying to make the playoffs. We tried
to work on more trades but just could not get back what we wanted so we might be done till next season. Maybe this team can
make a late run. We will see.

The Trading Deadline is coming up. Trying to decide if I need to make a big splash for the playoffs or hold steady.
It looks as if I will have my first losing record in my career.

I called up DeShawn McClintock, the GM of the Toronto Raptors. I have been looking for someone to take over
at Center for us next season. This is John Bailey's last season unless we decide to re-sign him. Toronto has a young
Center in Kevin DeSantis. He is 7-5 and 302lbs. He was taken with the 6th pick in the 1st Round of last year's draft.

The scouts like him but he does have some work to do. Our scouts rate him right now as a one star but has the
possibility of becoming a 3 star which is what our center John Bailey is rated.

I decide to pull the trigger. I sent them backup Center Tarvis Garrett and SG-Mathew Williams. After two games I noticed
that Toronto had released him. So basically we traded Center's. I am hoping DeSantis will take our center position next year.

It looks as if we will NOT make the playoffs, so I am thinking of having DeSantis start for the rest of the year and see what happens.

The next five games are coming up.

After the trade here is a look at our next five games.

20-31 Wizards...…….25-23 Toronto...…..Lose.....107-90. Ricardo Wall came of the bench and put in 17points. Reggie Davis had 14. We shot 46% and they shot 41% and we lose.
20-32 Wizards...…...25-25 Detroit...…...Lose.....119-108. C-John Bailey had 31points. SF-Reggie Davis 21points.
24-27 Atlanta...…...20-33 Wizards...…..Lose.....133-122. John Bailey 29points, Clifton Harvey 27points, Axel Williams 23points, Reggie Davis 21points, Kevin DeSantis 10points off the bench.
34-18 Dallas...……..20-34 Wizards...…..WIN......126-119. Reggie Davis 29points & 11Assists, David Stockman (back from injury) 23points, Clifton Harvey 21points and John Bailey 20points 13-boards.
19-34 Cleveland....21-34 Wizards...….Lose...….128-125. C-John Bailey 25points, PF-David Stockman 21points.

1-4 and we beat a REALLY good team in Dallas then lose to a team similar to us in Cleveland. We have got to be more consistent. Not sure what that is going to take. Looks like we will have
close to 43-million to spend on Free Agents. Hoping to not spend that much but we will have to see what is available this year and get a good draft pick.

2 games till the All-Star Break. We will be using the bench a lot more till the end of the season.

21-35 Wizards...…..18-37 Philadelphia......Lose...….109-89. PG-Axel Williams 15-points, C-Kevin DeSantis 14-points & 8-boards, C-John Bailey 10-boards.
21-36 Wizards...….31-23 Toronto...………...Lose......110-100. SF-Reggie Davis 34-points 13-15FG and 7-8 3's. C-John Bailey 11-boards. We were outscored
in the 4Q 33-18.

Our SF-Reggie Davis WON the 3-point Challenge at the All-Star Break. He beat Houston's PF-Marques Cleaves 25-23.

in the Rookies vs Sophomores Game our PF-David Stockman had 20-points. C-Kevin DeSantis had 13-points and PG-Damon Wilder had 8-points. Wilder
has been down on our D-League. On the Sophomores PG-Axel Williams had 16-points.

With our 21-37 record we are the 4th worst so we could have a good chance at a top pick in the next draft. Since getting the feeling that we will not
make the playoffs, it's time to see what we have by letting others play a lot, get a good draft pick and a Free Agent or two....or more since we only have
6-players under contract for next year. I should be able to stay at least one more year despite the Wizards wanting to make a playoff run. I am going
to have to put together a playoff team for next year. Going to have to be smart in the off-season.

24-games left in the season.

In our next five games...…………………………………………..

21-37 Wizards...……..107......33-25 New Orleans...120...….Lose...….PF-David Stockman 21-points, PG-Axel Williams 18-points, C-Kevin DeSantis 17-points 9-boards.
32-25 Memphis...…...102......21-38 Wizards...118...………...WIN......C-John Bailey 21-points, SF-Reggie Davis 20-points, PG-Axel Williams 17-points.
33--25 Toronto...…….119......22-38 Wizards....124...……….WIN...….PF-David Stockman 31-points, PG-Axel Williams 28-points, C-Kevin DeSantis 16-points.
32-28 Golden State...115......23-38 Wizards.....121.........WIN......C-John Bailey 23-points, PF-David Stockman 20-points
33-29 Detroit..........97.......24-38 Wizards......109.........WIN......PG-Axel Williams 21-points, PF-David Stockman 17-points. Good Defense in this one holding
Detroit to 39% shooting.

Atlanta Hawks were 24-27 but have now gone into a 12-game winning streak. They are now in 4th place in the East. The Wizards are 6 games out of a play off spot.
Still don't think we can get there but last years team had 24 wins we now have 25. We have 19 games left and a 4-game winning streak. Williams and Stockman
seam to want to keep winning. Both are playing well right now.

Here is a look at our next five games...…….

25-40 Phoenix...81.....25-38 Wizards...112.....WIN.....Forward James Mendez off the bench for 19-points and Ricardo Wall of the bench for 15.
26-38 Wizards...120.....31-33 Miami...114......WIN.....SF-Reggie Davis with 23-points and Ricardo Wall off the bench for 22.
Reggie Davis hurt his wrist again and we decide to set him out for 3 days. Clifton Harvey was hit hard in the game and is out 6 games for a mild concussion.
36-27 Toronto...110....27-38 Wizards...118.....WIN.....SG-James Mendez from the guard position has 23-points and C-Kevin DeSantis has 17.
32-34 Miami...94.....28-38 Wizards...112...…..WIN.....SG-James Mendez has 30-points and PF-David Stockman helps out with 26.
29-39 Wizards...94.....35-31 Minnesota...97...Lose.....Our 8-game winning streak is snapped. Minn. shot 36% and we shot 34%. Good defenses.

We are 6-games out of a playoff spot but instead off leap frogging over 5 teams, with our winning streak, we now only have to pass two teams for
a playoff spot. There are 14 games left for us this season. Can we continue our winning ways and make it to the playoffs? Or will we not be able
to close the deal? Can't wait to find out. Our record....29-39.

Here we go, trying to make the NBA Playoffs...….

29-39 Wizards.....87...42-26 Sacramento...118.....Lose.....SG-Clifton Harvey 18-points, David & Stockman 17-points. 51% to 39% shooting. We have to step it up.
29-40 Wizards...128...34-34 Golden State...135....Lose.....SF-Reggie Davis 41-points. PG-Axel Williams 18-points, 7-boards, 15-assists, 1-steal and 1-block.
29-41 Utah......114...29-41 Wizards.........127.....WIN.....SF-Reggie Davis 19-points, PG-Axel Williams 18-points
27-44 Boston....99....30-41 Wizards.........115.....WIN.....SF-Reggie Davis 27-points
31-41 Wizards...100...33-40 Oklahoma City..110...Lose....SF-Reggie Davis 22-points. We had 26 fouls to their 16. We lose on foul shots.
31-42 Wizards...116...38-35 Chicago..........108...WIN.....SF-Reggie Davis 20-points.
48-25 Indiana...100....32-42 Wizards.........113....WIN....SF-Reggie Davis 18-points, James Mendez off the bench for 17-points. We had 7 players in double figures.
31-43 Milwaukee 117...33-42 Wizards........106....Lose....SF-Reggie Davis 23-points
42-33 N.Y. Knicks...111...33-43 Wizards.....100....Lose....Guard Troy Hampton off the bench for 26-points and SF-Reggie Davis 25-points.

4-5 is not what I was hoping for. Things were not work with the offense and defense we were using so we changed and we went 4-3.
We are now 5 games back of 8th place for a playoff spot with 5 games to play. We need to win all 5 for at least a chance. Dont think
that can happen, but never say never. We have at least 33 wins this year compared to 24 from last year.

Last 5 games.....we have a back-to-back with Orlando and they have 28 wins. Then it's Boston who has 28 wins. Then it is OKC who has 35 wins and we end
the season with Philadelphia who has 26 wins.
