Academic Support, Only Available Starting Second Season?

Hello, I did see in the released version the Academic Support feature is now available during the coaching hiring cycle. However, the first time you have a coach hiring cycle is in your second season. Is there a reason this is not available in your first season, seems like a missed opportunity to use it during your first recruiting class? Unless I am not understanding its purpose.

Also, when I choose a percent in the drop down, the scouting dollars does not change at the top of the screen unless I choose the "100" option and then it displays below "million" (assuming a typo). Should the scouting amounts also change when other percents are selected? Also does not update the bottom of the Academic Support box where it should show you the allocation amount.

Thanks, any thoughts on original question? Why only available starting in second season? Why not important for first season?

This is related to 'when' a new game starts. To ensure that the game is playable out of the box a new game starts at training camp because then we can be sure that all teams have valid rosters and coaches etc.

We understand that many would also like to hire their own coaches in the first season (something that happens in the same stage as academic setting) and may include options to start new games earlier at some point in the future.
