Coach Progression

Any insight into the progression of your coach character?

I usually do a challenge where I take the hardest job and try to work up. To start I nuke all of my coach attributes except for reputation. I set everything to 1. I did this with Charlotte Got them to 5 straight playoffs with a championship over the course of 16 years.

However I only gained about 16 stars over this time. That amount isn't really a problem but the problem is the ares where I didn't get stars. None of the positional areas though gained for me.
